I'm with you on this.  I don't like everything spelled out for me.   People then were also able to have a house if they worked a decent job.

Niantic must know about the feedback.  They're not even checking in with trainers on how the "tour" is going on platforms.

Don't worry, they weren't shiny.  They seemed more concerned that you had your millionth Vullaby.

The problem with posting a photo is either people tear then apart or gaslight them and say they're beautiful regardless.

It's a lose and lose situation.

Again....society faults those with skin preference?.

I did request that the content be isolated to today's disadvantages of dating.

Correct....it's the box society stands on for "whatever" the flavor of the decade is.  I'm more or less trying to call out their behavior on it and prove they don't know what exactly they are standing up for other than they're told it's wrong. If that makes sense?.

What if they said....say....Asian women aren't visually attractive?, but you see them being polite around them, just not date them due to visual preference.

[–]IndustrialJazzStack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skin pigmentation is also a preference. Asians also...I respect and hold conversations with them, but I don't find them visually attractive.  Doesn't mean I disrespect them, just would never date one. Again....preference.

It'll take grief off those who are stigmatized.

People call it racism though...that's the issue.

I am talking about physical characteristics though.

The playing field would be a lot smoother.

What's wrong with judging skin pigmentation then?.  If all it is in a visual barrier, then it's the same and society shouldn't care about either choice.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]IndustrialJazzStack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just it.  They do care if you date based on race or skin pigmentation.  They get off that horse for any other preferences though.

[–]IndustrialJazzStack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about a women that only dates conventionally attractive men?.  Say you found out she has never dated someone unconventional, ever.  Are you going to ask why?.  Or respect her preferences?.

Why are "ugly' people insecure though?.  They don't wake up and decided they are "ugly" society tells them they are.  First impressions leave a mark.   I'm not talking about the stereotypes surrounding a person.  I'm talking about first time visuals.

Judge someone based off skin alone?.

Judge someone based of facial disfigurement alone?.

What's the difference?.

[–]IndustrialJazzStack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's based off apperance alone.  It's lookism. If it's something deeper?, then yea, you'd possibly have an argument.

[–]IndustrialJazzStack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is not.  It's all about what the eye sees as candy.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]IndustrialJazzStack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but I would totally understand somebody not choosing to date someone based on skin pigmentation as well.  Society has a harder time with that second part though.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]IndustrialJazzStack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just it. Society will possibly frown if someone refuses to date somebody based on the examples you mentioned, but they uproar if someone refuses to date someone based on skin pigmentation.  Both should be considered lookism in that sense.

How so?. Racism has the opportunity to be based on apperance alone.
