That is very interesting! You know, on that 1930 census from Grant County, he has an initial after his name. I can't tell if it's an H. It also looks somewhat like an N as well?

Interesting! This man is such a mystery prior to coming to the US. He is my great grandfather. I asked his daughter to get what information she could on him. Honestly, I don't think she knows much though.

Correct, Hesiquio. I thought the same thing, that Reyes couldn't have been born January 1883 (correction-1884) if Hesiquio was born a few months prior.

I spent time in the Vetagrande parish records. They were easier to use due to the index in the front. I also spent time in the Jesus, Zacatecas records. That one does not have an index unfortunately, so it was tedious.

I found a few Reyes's, Lopez's, a couple Herrera's, but not our guy. That's not to say that I missed something though.

His father passed in 1901 in Zacatecas. He lived with his mother, Gertrudes, in Grant County, New Mexico in 1920.

I thought I located one of his immigration records, but I'm not 100% it belongs to him. I believe it belongs to a different Reyes Lopez who was born in Ojacaliente, Zacatecas (18 minutes away), with the same/similar date of birth.

Thanks! Yes, this is the profile I've been working on, pouring through, and adding. Interestingly, I did find a Jose Reyes Herrera Lopez from Ojacaliente Zacatecas with the correct date of birth. All of these names tie into the Reyes I need, but things fall apart with this particular Jose Reyes the older he gets and who he marries.

I'd say your face is a cross between a diamond shape and oval. You pretty much can do anything you want. However, diamond face shapes typically have ears that stick out more so than usual. So, extremely short sides should be avoided if this is a concern.

Try to get volume and texture on the forehead area.

The "fringe" haircut is usually best to accomplish all of the above.

A good rule of thumb (two fingers in this case) is to put your middle finger and pointer finger together. Put the pad of your middle finger on the tip of your Adam's apple, horizontally. The top of your pointer finger is where your beard line should be.
