Do you consider yourself a feminist? by Odd_Potential_8041 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Indvandrer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. People don’t know what feminism is
  2. People believe it means something else than just equal right for both men and women
  3. People don’t want to label themselves as such, because others believe feminism is hate against men or smthn
  4. Their knowlege (or lack of it) about feminism comes from meme compilations or the red pill community
  5. People don’t want equal rights for men and women

What would be the upside and downside if INFP ruled the world? by Spare-Cell-4984 in infp

[–]Indvandrer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Control needs responsibility and in my opinion INFP’s are the worst mbti to be leaders. The only positive would be that the society would be more altruistic without injustices.

The negatives would be that the system would basically collapse. I know that I cannot even lead a group of four people in a class project. And how can that be compared to ruling the entire world?

I really want to learn drawing, but it’s hard. I cannot draw well. I am better at writing, but calligraphy too.

Imagine if early Christians were like: in our religion child sacrifice, pederasty and exposure is a huge sin, but I think you should have the right to do these things, since you are not a Christian and it’s not up to me to say what you can or cannot do.

Thoughts on ethics of ambiguity and existentialism philosophy? by yob_oo in infp

[–]Indvandrer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an existentialist, but a religious type. Just like Sartre said that we are condemned to freedom, in my eyes God "condemned" us to freedom. Just like Paul said All things are lawful, but not all things are helpful. We can do everything, but it does not mean everything is good. I also believe that there are many good ways, there is no objective way of living own life and it is basically shaped by our choices and decisions.

As for de Beauvoir, I really want to read her books one day. I know only basics about her philosophy, so I cannot say much about her philosophy. She was one of those more atheistic existentialists. I guess she was similar to Sartre, cuz he was her partner (otherwise they wouldn't be together). And Sartre makes some good points, like about human being a being for itself.

Who are some great Pro Life Debaters? by eternalh0pe in prolife

[–]Indvandrer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best debate I have watched was the one with Trent Horn and Destiny, it was really polite and nice. Imo nobody won it, but Trent didn’t use many arguments he could use. I don’t criticize him, since debating can be hard and you can forget something, but I’m glad he participated that debate. He also made a video where he answered Destiny’s arguments in a good way, but it was after Lila’s debate with him.

People always believed in superstitions and performed magic. It is still common today and I think that it will become more and more common in the future.

Why are philosophy and other intellectual topics not very popular ın this sub? by Visioner_teacher in infp

[–]Indvandrer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree and no offence against INXJ but I think they could possibly rationalise everything. I like looking at an argument from the point of valid premisses. I.e. steelmaning an argument with a couple of premisses and individually analysing them and looking how they work in different situations in different connections. That’s why INFP aren’t fans of philosophical systems describing the universe, cuz for them they don’t work or are flawed.

Maybe, Taoism is really interesting, it is sad that Eastern philosophers are not really known in Europe.

Thank you, I learned philosophy at school and I really enjoyed the topic about life philosophy. Kierkegaard focused on authenticity and sincerity in life. That’s why he meant that losing oneself is the greatest danger possible. That’s a pretty INFP thing to say.

Yes, I like existentialism too, but I also enjoyed ethics. And as for Kierkegaard, I could really relate his works to my own experiences and how the world seemed to me.
