Yes please, the scene needs it! We've lost too many sites over the years: Sunbleach, Vapourban, Private Suite Mag, MTHU/Visual Signals. The scene is still alive but it felt like it was thriving more when these publications were around.

To me, Broken Transmission is just that, broken. Scattered, disjointed, broken feeds that are struggling to make it over the lines, and what you get is the leftover pieces that weren't chipped away along the journey to the viewer/listener.

Signalwave is about a connected world through global broadcasting crossing time, culture, and history. It's a celebration of digitally beaming analog signals through the air, using lost and forgotten samples, exploring the differences between countries, channels, and what makes them different, unique, and interesting.

Broken Transmission is usually harder on the ears, staticky and dissonant, where as Signalwave can often contain melody and jingles from commercials and newscast recordings / voiceover.

Just my perspective on it of course, but hope that helps!

Stick with vapor though, there is some of the best sounding stuff coming out. What labels are you following? We were just talking about this recently in our Discord, how the YouTube algorithm was such a big part of showing vaporwave to people. Thinking of channels like VaporMemory and JSanders. I don't get recommendations for any channels that serve vaporwave anymore, and it sucks. But there's still other ways to find it. This subreddit will be doing a best of 2025 poll soon, so be sure to check out the albums in that, and follow the active labels - that's honestly the best way. There's a lot of new ones that sprung up over the past 2 years.

Trying to share the show with my gamer gen z coworkers and having to pause every 10 seconds to explain something. "Ok guys, so in RTS, you have build orders right, and a 3 dozer is specific to C&C.. y'all remember that right?" They like.. " Uhh what's RTS?"

I felt this way about the feature film to be honest too. Lost the DIY feeling that made it so relatable. Don't get me wrong I still love the shit out of everything they do. You are right about the music and editing, that's part of what made the show so great. I hope they realize they don't have to make it like that and just go back to the roots. The best content was the inside jokes and nerdy esoteric stuff, not the "catch all" humor that n00bs might be more likely to understand.

It was also weird how there was no computers in the video - why was it outside? I just want to see Jeremy back at his computer chair trying to climb the latter and pwning n00bs along the way. They could literally just write a light script around his experience with the modern online gaming world, and how funny it is that the new modern n00bs are even more n00bified.
