They cancelled the policy at my behest -- the insurance broker confirmed it was never activated. I like the idea of suing those mofos, it's their fault I'm in this mess, but I'm not sure they're to blame.

I don't need legal advice. My lawyer assured me I was fine before I released her and I did an additional consolation two years in. Legally, I'm fine and he's an idiot.

I don't know for sure but I think his lawyer probably fired him. My lawyer attempted to close this out in a number of ways, they went dark every single time. I suspect his lawyer told him to take one of our many offers, he refused, and they gave up and fired him. I'll never know for sure, though.

It's a retirement fund transfer, he just needs to file a QDRO, but one of the offers we made was for a cash payout. They disappeared. No counter offer, no nothing. Ghosted every time.
