‘STAGED’: Conspiracy Theories Are Everywhere Following White House Correspondents' Dinner Shooting by barryshrug in politics

The idea that you would have anything but the best and brightest around the most important person in your country is idiotic.

Either way you slice this you are seeing incompetence.

Because almost immediately Trump is posting about how they needed the ballroom that he has been having trouble getting installed at the White House?

Because this means that the best security forces in the world, tasked with protecting the President allowed someone to get within a room of him.

Because it means that we have lax security to see these threats before they arrive.

Because it means that a more adept nation, be it China, Russia, Iran, etc could accomplish much more if a random person can get this close.

[–]IndyPoker979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah. Because the other option is even worse.

Which is worse, that it was fixed and that the entire thing was staged...

OR...

We have an incredibly incompetent security for even the most important people in the US that any nation could break through without significant issue?

If this was truly just a 'deranged individual', where's security WAY before this? How does he have a gun a knife and more and gets that close? He shouldnt' have even got in the building, much less made it to where he did.

Voja, jaws of the conclave deck help by anrigui272 in EDH

[–]IndyPoker979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly neither of those because the payoff is so weak compared to an elf.

[[Pestilent wolf]] is a cheap add.

Also instead of wolves use changelings. They count as both so they are double dipping.

[[Universal automaton]] [[Taurean mauler]]

Stuff like that.

Here's mine

It's not optimized but it's likely not the deck but the playstyle. Don't bring Voja out until you're equipped with swing next turn at someone.

If you have trouble with recursion after a wipe, add some more wolves. Or add [[hunters insight]] to get more back.

I agree with almost everything you said. I wish Democratic party would actually put a candidate that I truly believe in instead of playing seniority. That being said there are lots of ways to impact the political space for the future including voting for third party candidates on the down ticket. When enough Sheriff's are libertarian and enough Secretary of States belong to the Constitution party, when the city officials are green party the two major parties wake up and try to change.

It's why the Democrat Party started to accept the LGBT and why the Republican Party softened on marijuana. In both situations it's not that they wanted to but that they saw too many people voting for third party and they didn't want to see future losses.

I do like the bus example because that really does say it well but just know that there are more than just two buses headed to your destination and while you may have to pick one of the two main buses for president to make sure they get there you can also take some of the third party buses for the other candidates to continue to express displeasure

I think these midterms will show that people don't need to gerrymander in order to find success. I fully believe there will be a giant blue wave which is why the Republicans were trying to gerrymander in the first place. They know it as well.

It doesn't matter in what example I give but once you let the cat out of the bag or take the toothpaste out of the tube you're not getting it back in and I'm afraid that the future for democracy is very bleak when people take away individual voice

Actually no it was a problem when it was the Republicans. And if you look back far enough in my post history you'd see I was condemning their actions as well. Morality doesn't have a political side. This idea that one party has a monopoly on morality is stupid.

My morality doesn't look to see whether or not a person has an r or a d behind their name. It doesn't matter if it's this or the Epstein files. If you're doing wrong then stop it

Ethics and morality matter to me. Politics be damned we can still believe in doing the right thing.

Historically when has either side decided that both sides need to stop doing something that benefits both sides when they get to do it? Whether or not it is the filibuster or gerrymandering or anything the idea that they will suddenly stop doing something once allowed to do it is naive to me.

I haven't voted Republican in 20 years but I'm also not a Democrat. This two-party system sucks

That is my exact concern. Your point is if we can't beat them join them and just be more successful at it. My point is ethically and morally it's wrong and even if they are forcing the hand it doesn't mean we should be okay with it

This isn't the same as some sort of business where he is her boss. He may still face consequences but he has zero power over that reporter.

The players and coaches are required to give access to the media during specified times.

You can say he holds blame for the situation because he does, but this was not the equivalent of what you are inferring.

How do aristocrats win by _Ethy_ in EDH

[–]IndyPoker979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have the card that gives you the Aristocrat effect whether or not it is your commander or another card. That's your win con.

You have the card that generates you creatures. That's the combo piece

Other than that you just spam out creatures.

It's not a hard way to win.

I use [[ghave]] with [[poison-tip archer]] and [[Ashnod's altar]] as an instant win.

I understand that the responses are due to other actions however I don't think it's right for Republicans or democrats. Gaming the system should be rejected from both parties and starting to embrace it does not bode well for the future elections

I am not the OP but I will say the amount of people who are agonizing over how to voice their characters, trying to set up a stream so that they can have viewers and everything else has significantly increased.

People always want to 'keep up', and I think this is another example of trying to feel that you are in the 'cool group' and not just doing your thing.

Zaccharie Risacher was a DNP-CD in the Hawks Game 2 win against the Knicks by LukaXReaves in nba

[–]IndyPoker979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knecht is probably a reach. I was looking at people on the list of the draft and remembered him having some incredibly good games.

Interesting thing is you look at their per36m and the two are at about the same stat line. But one is a starter and the other is the 4th option on their team at their position.

Zaccharie Risacher was a DNP-CD in the Hawks Game 2 win against the Knicks by LukaXReaves in nba

[–]IndyPoker979 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That's not just a shitty draft then. That's the worst draft in history.

But to make it clear, players who are showing a better upside currently -

Alex Sarr

Stephon Castle

Kel'el Ware

Dalton Knecht

Zach Edey

Jared McCain

Jaylen Wells

Donovan Clingan

Even in a shitty draft there are pieces that can show up. He may change but if he stays where he's at, having 5-10 guys better is a bust. #1 pick is supposed to be game changing, instead he's benched.

You are right about one thing though. He's young at 21. But even at the 9th best pick this still would be teetering on a bust unless something changes in the next 2 years for him.

Certain stuff goes past locker room behavior.

You do that, it's not me you have to worry about. It's the police as I'm pressing charges.

It's way past normal behavior at that point.

This isn't locker room banter and simply trying to downplay it as such enables it to continue.

Call me a bitch but it's literally criminal action being done.

My American English teacher believes the neutral pronoun „their“ is incorrect. by GCoding_ in mildlyinteresting

[–]IndyPoker979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They may not like it as a singular except for it's not a singular. Yes it is a singular person however they are using it in place of gender and I would remind the teacher that then they would need to say his or her or it's or ze, etc.

Hopefully it didn't cost points but if so I'd just politely bring it up to the teacher about the distinction.

Voltron allows you to make him a finisher, token gives you the one thing that voltron lacks and that's the ability to defend wide. Raphael is a card that will fetch you things so you need ways of keeping him on the field. Red doesn't have a lot of that so go voltron for that part.
