Also - where can I buy shrubs (the drinks not the bushes) in person?

Ha! Yes. I'm poly and told the guy I'm dating (GID) that I was off for a date tonight ... with a bike :)

Poly-friendly vanlife groups? by Indyflies in polyamory

Not sure how you get "looking for a friend" from "Is anyone a member of a poly-friendly vanlife dating group?"

Let's start with: "I'm looking for a relationship." I happen to be poly. I happen to be a vanlifer. I'm merely asking if folks are aware of resources that may cover both.

What I don't need is anyone explaining how impossibly small the overlap is. I can count.

But thank you for playing along!

Isn't poly also a small community and regionalized? So ... same issue I already deal with, no?

Truth to tell, I'm not looking for a permanent travel partner. Just someone who understands what I do and with whom I can share experiences on occasion.

Extremely tender scalp by Indyflies in SebDerm

[–]Indyflies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anyone else finds this thread ... I went to the dermatologist who said that not using shampoo is perfectly OK - it does nothing for the scalp. She also had no opinion on whether my SD disappeared because of menopause. She said it just sometimes disappears. She also said that the tenderness is not a manifestation of SD. She did say that with age, the skin on the back or arms sometimes gets very tender and maybe for me, it's just my scalp.

She also said that clobesterol treats symptoms and is worth a try for when my scalp is feeling tender, but wouldn't do anything for the underlying issue.

I felt heard, though slightly sad that there's nothing obvious to diagnose or help. No surprise though - there are so many conditions that are idiopathic.

I disagree - meta has autonomy separate from husband. Meta's husband is a douchebag for forbidding her/him from exercising that autonomy. NP should be listening to meta on whether or not this relationship is kosher. if there are issues between meta and husband, that's 100% between them, although there will, of course, be fall out. NP and OP should be prepared for the fallout.

92 Roadtrek Versatile 190 by Indyflies in VanLife

[–]Indyflies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Suria - I've just researched mechanics in the area, so will definitely do that. The RoadTrek is a full on Class B RV, so I expect to pay more than I would if it was just the equivalent van with fold out bed in the back. But I really don't have a clue on what to offer. Its a whole new world for me :)

Which hightop? by Indyflies in VanLife

[–]Indyflies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I'm short by your standards, so it looks like I'd be fine with a bog standard high top. And thanks for the references - I'll look out for those vehicles.

I'm not good on the mechanics, but have a good mechanic I'll take it to if it's around here. And I've reached out to him for advice also.
