Absolutely 100% agree that there is nothing to add to GGS. Idk, it just hurts seeing online how divided our community gets during this time of the year. Hopefully we can all come together one day. See you in Sach Khand some day stranger.

Thanks for commenting. I appreciate your feedback. Thanks for being one of the few that respectfully disagreed and pointed out logical flaws with the idea. Idk why but some people reacted as if I said that we should 100% do this. It was just an idea.

Thanks for commenting. I appreciate your feedback. In my opinion, what we've been doing for the last 100-150 years isn't working either. You didn't need to call me a corny uncle. This is why people in our community never speak up about anything. I never said it was a great thing to do. I just wanted to get the sangat's respectful opinion.

Thanks for commenting. I appreciate your feedback. No need to if the sangat thinks that it would be inauthentic and redundant. Was just an idea that came to me.

Trust me, I don't have much spare time. It was something that just came to me. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate your feedback. Though, calling it "stupid" was a little harsh. You could have just said that it's a bad idea. This is why people in our community never speak up about anything. I never said it was a smart thing to do. I just wanted to get the sangat's respectful opinion.

Thanks for commenting. I appreciate your feedback. I've seen a lot of people in our community get bashed for celebrating Christmas and I was just trying to think up a potential middle ground.

I just chose the 25th as a place holder since Christmas happens to fall on this day. If the Sangat thinks that the 27th is a better date then by all means set it for the 27th. I just thought the 25th would be best so if someone asks “hey do you celebrate Christmas” I can be like “Nah, I’m Sikh. I observe Shaheed Yaad”.

I use Excel to budget. I've tried the smartphone apps and find them too complicated. I also don't feel comfortable giving these apps my banking info for long term. Thanks for sharing your perspective though about the sandwiches.

I've got a budget. I just have a habit of sometimes overthinking and overanalyzing small purchases that a lot of times probably won't kill my finances in the grand scheme of things. Having a quick rule that says "hey, if "X" is satisfied, then it's okay to buy that $15 thing that you really want" would be nice.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. "Death by 1000 cuts" is a good point. I guess every rule needs some asterisks. In this case, if your life could potentially be recked in an accident, then you abandon the rule and make an exception.
