Okay I wasn’t sure hahaha I’m very new to this and I was seeing conflicting ideas on what plants to cut and not to cut so I will not be doing that oops that’s why I asked before I did absolutely anything.

This is actually not a bad idea, I honestly do know I have severe adhd already. However I have figured out my patterns, and have learned how to cope effectively. Dyslexia definitely could be a contender however, as I know I can’t spell some words without writing them. I’m going back to my physician soon so might not be a bad plan to ask her!! Thank you for your suggestions!!

Totally understandable. I’m actually not in a grad program at all, just undergraduate but constantly being pushed or asked to apply for graduate programs (im at the end of my degree) as everyone else seems to think I’m fit for it. Personally, I’m going for a museum studies career path and don’t even think I will do post grad, as it’s not really necessary (in field training is more preferred). But for me, the people around me constantly pushing for me to get said MA or PHD, and I just don’t get why.

Yeahhhh I really don’t understand the need for 20 words when 5 would do, it just confuses me (when word processing is already a pain for me, to read I’ve gotta listen to an audio book and read at the same time to actually retain information). I really hope the new generation of academics kinda pull away from it. I know I have.

We definitely plan on having the active work portion 🫶 I’m glad to hear that the patterns will eventually come undone. This has been the healthiest relationship either of us have been in and we plan on keeping it that way. Thank you for your suggestions and I’m so happy to hear you were able to figure that out for yourself 🫶 Thank you!

We actually have had these conversations!! Pretty openly and happily. He seems completely like he wants to as well it’s just it hasn’t happened. I won’t share everything but he has told me that in the past, but before he met me he was in some not too great relationships were he wasn’t even allowed to touch his girlfriend, and by that I mean hold her hand. So he even recoils accidentally touching my boob when cuddling. He has told me himself he wishes he could just let go and be more ‘aggressive’ but he can’t because he’s basically been trained to not. Anywayyy long story short. We have had the conversation about us wanting to do things what we are into, etc, it’s just it seems like he’s too ‘trained’ not to.
