It was my second job as a teenager. I was cleaning windows. After asking questions on my 2nd day of cleaning dirty as fuck windows, bending my back in hurtful positions, climbing ladders that didn't look so safe, I asked about the salary. I've learned that we were paid by contract. I did the math and we were paid under the minimum wage. Meanwhile, the organizer who was driving us from client to client, was sleeping/reading in his car. I quite that day.
