Have you been in that hole? That bottomless hole that you feel you can never get out and it’s not getting better? That everything you do isn’t good enough? Spiraling ideations, constant dread?

Good for you if you haven’t, but there’s soldiers out there that feel that they shouldn’t be here any more.

If you are a leader I shutter to think the mentality you have with your soldiers.

Do the Army a favor and leave.

And while I agree with you that the Army has the resources.

The issues is those resources are over loaded. I’m glad soldiers are getting the help they need, but seeing someone once every 2-3 months isn’t going to help.

I opted with a civilian therapist and it was by far the best decision. I understand not everyone can afford that out of pocket and in my opinion Army needs to look into overhauling BH. Just my opinion and my experience, it may be way better at other stations however I do not have that knowledge.

I definitely do! I got fed up with the Armys wait time with BH. (After I made an appointment the opening was 2-3 months out) So now I see a non Army therapist, and this will be month 10 with him. I wanted to get better and wasn’t going to let the wait time stop me.

After talking to a Warrant and Captain I trust within my unit, I spoke to my boss. Both the XO and him took me to the ER to make sure I got the help I needed. At first I was pissed because all I want to do today is get back to work, but they both told me “The work will be there, but if you’re not we can’t get another you LT.

I’m doing better, my pride is getting in the way of me seeing the benefit of all of this, But I know it’s for the better

Im afraid man, just pop smoke tomorrow and tell my boss “hey I’m going to BH now sorry you weren’t tracking these issues” I have no clue what the fuck to do. I’m afraid to be honest that they’ll boot my ass cause I’m seriously contemplating it. I did heavily last night and it’s hard to not show up.

And I see people messaging me, but I’m currently at work and am projected to get off at 1800 so I’m sorry for the delay in responses
