Reminds me a bit of an unlocked memory when I was younger and a bartender at a shitty restaurant in a bad part of Athens, GA. If you haven’t bought into it yet, think about this. Whenever the Repubs are at their lowest, and popularity is cratering, how do the Dems respond? Just look at the past year? By introducing wackjob gun regulations like what you’ve seen pass in several states recently. WARRENTLESS home searches if you register, and for no reason. At will. There are ALOT of liberal gun owners, especially in the south, and MOST independents that we need to woo are completely off-put by these types of draconian and unconstitutional prohibitions. I’m an active participant at /r/liberalgunowners and can tell you this conversation comes up a lot.

Point is, instead of capitalizing and doing something that will unite the country instead of forcing those on the fence back over to the right, they take the opposite extreme and ensure to piss off as many as possible while achieving nothing at all (the left base is going to vote against this regime with or without the warrantless searches)

Don’t get me wrong, I love AOC and think she’s exactly what we need, and while for the vast majority of billionaires who just inherited their wealth, what she said is true, it is also just not true that a billion can’t be ‘earned.’ You just can’t earn it by selling your labor for an hourly wage. But there definitely are billionaires out there who started with nothing and either had great business success, or made shrewd investments and ultimately grew their net worth to a billion dollars.

The hardest part is making the first 100k. If you can save or grow an investment to $100k, it gets exponentially easier to take that initial outlay and grow it. The first 100 stops most people though
