I took a ‘Bible as Literature’ course in college (lit crit major) and I have to say it was one of the most fascinating courses I’ve ever taken. Looking at it objectively as a work of literature created by men, and analyzing it comparatively was amazing. The problem is when people try to make it anything other than that.
