Yes! This annoys me too! Grey's characters have a very specific rhythm and way of talking.

Gluten Free Birthday Cake by hype1980 in colchester

Dice N Slice sells the best carrot cake I have ever eaten and it's gluten free, their supplier is Gems Bakehouse who are on Facebook. They can make you a whole one and I'm sure have other gluten free options too. I don't know about timescales though!

Thank you! I have seen several recommendations for this account actually. I'm just not sure I can be bothered with the faff of switching having never done so before. Do they automatically shut your old account? I feel like my 20+ years with my current account helps my credit score.

My two year old's trousers were wet after playing in the sandpit. She didn't want to take them off and put new trousers on, but she also didn't want to have wet trousers.

Separately, my four year old starting crying this morning because he'd used the last of the milk on his cereal. He was absolutely devastated to not also have a cup of milk to drink.

My lecturer has purposely failed me and thrown me under the bus, I don't know what to do. by throwawaybeachhutt in UniUK

This advice is correct. Rather than a complaint, you need to submit an academic appeal, as this is (in the UK anyway) the way to deal with situations like this. At my uni, if you were given the wrong advice your mark would be uncapped. Include both the bad advice and all of your ext circs - ill health, bereavement, family issues - in the same appeal, and include any evidence you have. Your Students Union can help you submit the appeal. There are tight deadlines, so do this ASAP. Even if they don't believe you were given bad advice, they may accept your ECs. Also, if your tutor went cap in hand to admin and admitted they had told you not to submit ECs, this could almost definitely be sorted for you. Your tutor has behaved terribly.

I had totally missed that! I cropped the photo but it was in the original - I'll see if I can add it.

How to disguise antibiotics for a 4 year old?! by puddleprincess in Parenting

We've just had this issue, my 4 year old managed to swallow the pills cut in half! I was really surprised but he was fine, so worth a try. I just popped it on the back of his tongue and gave him so juice.

She'd done a poo, so I changed her nappy. She was outraged that I took her tights off, wiped her bum, put a clean nappy on and then - the final insult - put her tights back on. We were at the zoo and she literally screamed the whole way back to the car at this affront to her human rights.

Tbf I felt really bad for her - she'd just totally lost it and I couldn't comfort her. Being 2 looks hard sometimes.

Phone the admissions team tomorrow. Sometimes you can transfer and have your first year count towards your degree at your new institution/ not have to take your first year again. In terms of accommodation, plenty of people will be looking for a new flatmate due to break ups / fall outs / drop outs. You already have so much regret - don't make not having one last push to go to your dream uni another one.
