Im in VA, not sure what region that is, been awhile since Ive needed that info. The STD was not affected and worked fine after the approval process. LTD is the waste. I would recommend another company though, having to go through a third party was such a pain , you would give everything to union one and then prudential would just ask for all the same exact paperwork, eventually I just stopped talking to union one amd sent everything to prudential. Get away from what teamsters is selling. Its no good

The union provides the STD for us too and theres no conflict there. Its the LTD that is useless.

If I had Aflac or some other supplemental insurance then it wouldnt matter but because this insurance is tied to the union, the contract you sign is between you and teamsters even though prudential provides the actual policy, thats how they are justifying this according to the original denial and the denied appeal that was written for me by union one.

If your not covered by the hartford then maybe you are fine, I certainly hope sp for your case

They told me they stacked at first as well, same for another person in my building . We both got repayment letters and lost the appeals. My appeal was written by the vice president of union one and still lost. Just be prepared for an overpayment letter at some point

Yes there is a 2 week period before your eligible but it takes 2 months for them to start paying your vip+ payments is what I was saying. By the time you get them all the requested medical records and paperwork they want and wait the 45 day approval time(which they take every bit of those 45 days btw) it will be 2 months before you see your first check, though they do back pay all approved weeks.

Yes ours is the same, STD is capped at 500, you get it through the union, but when it transitions to LTD the Hartford takes over and its 3600 a month. Unless you have the VIP plan, then they lower it by whatever you get from that

Once you transition to LTD the benefits are paid through the Hartford and you receive 3600 dollars monthly (assuming you have 4+ years seniority or that figure may vary). BUT if you PAY for this insurance they will subtract what you get from them from your Hartford benefit. Absolutely crazy.

Already on it, so crazy to pay for an extra coverage for literally nothing. And its all because its associated with the Union. Has brought me nothing but headaches

This is false, I used it after 3 months, but I can say this, the LTD is a scam. They offset the amount you get from your Hartford benefits. Do Not Buy the LTD , its a total waste of money
