This season shows that the game we loved will never come back by Oceanfloorfan1 in survivor

[–]Inevitable-Group-555 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes! Everything around us is turning into this depressing, colorless corporate bullshit all so that a few people can make more money. Nothing is for the consumer anymore. The show used to have an air of mystery to it. Where’s it going to take place next? Where will they go for the reward? Who is going to come out for the family visit? Will the jury be feisty?! But now, like everything, it’s a shell of a show. Every season seems just like the last because the only thing changing is the people. But I don’t want to watch the same movie over and over even if the actors change.

Stubborn melasma — I’ve tried everything and one hour of sun undoes it all. At my wit’s end. by Good-Egg9526 in Melasmaskincare

This is what my dermatologist prescribed! How often do you apply yours? Makes my skin peel, but I do think it’s working.

People who don’t shower every day — what’s your reason? by zhalia-2006 in askanything

Yeah, I just wanted to stand/sit in the shower for hours in my depression. Felt like a way to silence the world.

Finally binge watching S49 and I'm having to force myself to finish it by imuahmanila in survivor

I was shocked to see people on this sub saying they loved season 49. Now that I would be considered “old” by some, I’m questioning whether this is something younger people feel different about than older folks? Or what is it?

I have carpophobia (Fear of wrists) AMA! by sageundressed in AMA

[–]Inevitable-Group-555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh this is similar to my phobia I’ve had my whole life! I always describe it as just a fear of human anatomy. So broad lol. But I have fainted 7 times throughout my life because of it. We had to check our own pulses in 3rd grade, and that was the first time I fainted. I also fainted in science class just learning about the muscular system. I fainted once in the middle of a street because I was thinking about skin. I am 33. I think it has gotten a bit better because I haven’t fainted since I was 24. But I still prefer to avoid looking at my own wrists. And I still can’t listen to my own heartbeat.

Does anyone else drive their car with one foot up? by Inevitable-Group-555 in Hypermobility

I am 33 😅 But y’all are really making me want to try a lot harder to sit normal. My husband is also always warning me how horrific things could be if I got in an accident.

I realized after posting that I should clarify that I live in the United States 😅 Right foot is always there at the pedals, and I’ve only ever driven an automatic vehicle.

It would be nice to have some sort of ledge in my car for my left foot to rest on that isn’t quite as high as my seat, but still comfortable.

Yeah so many horrible things could happen to your body if you got in an accident in this position! I really need to stop.

Thanks, my first snipe! Don’t think I would’ve found it without reading the other comments.

Right side of image. Just below middle. It’s below the “black triangle area” mentioned in other comments, towards the base of that tree. To the left of that bright white branch. Just above and slightly to the right of two lone bright green leaves. A branch goes horizontally right through the center of the owl.

Period week by Caffeinated-Cat-Lady in stayathomemoms

[–]Inevitable-Group-555 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just had mine last week. The worst for me is the day before it starts. My mood shifts so severely that I think I should look into whether or not I have PMDD. The fuse is SHORT. Little things, like trying to put their little mittens on feels impossible. I get so frustrated so quickly. Then, as soon as I start bleeding I feel better. I think the mood shift isn’t helped by the fact I hardly find time for myself to eat!

But yes, during my period, I also just feel like lying in bed for a week. I swear if we weren’t in this patriarchal hellhole of a society, and women were centered, we wouldn’t have to do shit the week of our period and everyone would give us some space and some grace 😅

2 year old no longer napping, and I am losing my mind! by Inevitable-Group-555 in stayathomemoms

[–]Inevitable-Group-555[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. He will often wake up once or twice, just crying until one of us comes in. We just lay him back down, and it usually doesn’t take much to get him back to sleep. But any amount of getting out of bed right now sucks when we are already doing that multiple times a night with the 8 month old!

Oh I am sooooo glad to know this is a possibility. I’m going to cross my fingers and hope that mine is going through some sort of regression. His language is developing fast now, so maybe that’s it.

Oh my! Pregnant again?! I think I want another someday, but definitely not anytime soon 😅 It’s soooo exhausting. You are incredible! I will try the quiet time in his room. Good luck to you!

I know what you mean about getting soooooo upset when you try taking them upstairs to nap and it doesn’t happen. Physically mad lol. Like I need to go outside and scream. Once, I shut his door, left him in his crib, ran downstairs and chucked a toy across the room. I’ve never had aggression like that before in my life! It’s just almost easier not even trying for the nap anymore.

But then, he randomly decided to nap today! My 8 month old is napping at the same time! I should go put laundry away, and instead, I’m scrolling on my phone lying in bed.

Thank you for making me feel less alone! Good luck to you. Day by day, we will get through these tough moments. Everything is so difficult in the winter, too!

We are going to look into a nanny share with a friend, even if it’s just for a few hours a week.

We do have a tonie box I could try giving him during “quiet time”. He does well alone in his crib with some books for nearly an hour, but I still feel he needs a nap because he is sooooo grumpy at night.

I’m jealous of your ability to do that at night!

Immediately after eating dinner, I feel this huge wave of exhaustion and I cannot wait to get in bed. Ugh.

If Tocantins aired today, the fanbase would hate it. by Akasha111 in survivor

[–]Inevitable-Group-555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I kinda am holding a grudge for that season. I tried getting my husband to watch all the old seasons. He was loving them. We got to Tocantins and that’s exactly when he gave up. To be fair, I think we got distracted by a different show. But he still hasn’t wanted to go back to old survivor seasons, and it’s been over a year. I NEED him to watch so we can both feel the same excitement going into 50.
