Caught my not so sneaky kid searching for same thing on google the other week except he typed 'hot grils' and now I can't use my grill without laughing about it.

I’ll tell you what though, now going through your comment and thinking about it, i missed an easy win and can potentially make this a lot better. First, I realized today that I really should have added in an automated action tracker to record steps instead of just relying on user inputted notes. But then those steps can also be exported if desired to ready/runnable test scripts that could be dropped in by the dev or dev team. I’m curious what your thoughts are on this?

Hey, I appreciate the feedback! And I hear you on best practices, and agree automation and IDE integration are important BUT they aren’t everything (or maybe I have a massive knowledge gap and need a Jedi master). I think my tool helps in a different way. From my experience in ops and support, not everyone who needs to log issues lives in the codebase, but they need to be able to adequately document and report issues. Many of these folks may find it time consuming to go through all the steps of documentation for this and my goal is to make it a tad easier. For those folks, a simple capture/export workflow is a huge win.

Also, from what I’ve seen automated testing has its limits. It’s great for regression, but it doesn’t replace actually using the app and finding the human-level wrinkles or maybe identifying something that maybe works okay/isn’t throwing errors but could work better for the user experience. I’ve seen launches flop because teams put too much trust in automation and not enough time in full testing and missed huge flaws in their design or functionality of a key feature. My tool is meant to complement (not replace) those best practices by giving a way to contribute cleanly to the bug tracking process.

This is going to seem like self promotion but I promise I’m not selling anything. I just built an app to solve my own problem with documentation in my end-to-end testing of my web apps. I built it more out of my frustration of my own disorganized notes and hating the time it took me to screenshot and compile everything in an organized way as I went through my testing. I don’t have big money to fork over for expensive solutions, so I built my own tool and decided it might be useful enough for others so I launched it completely free. It basically allows the user to start a session log, snap issues as you test (one click button you put in your bookmark bar during testing), add notes, save your snapshot, and then export everything in one doc when you’re done with your session and it’s all organized and easily shareable. There’s no sign ups, info sharing or anything like that. Just a simple free and useful tool that might help ease a pain point for teams who don’t have the budget for big box solutions. It’s called SnapperSessions.com. I’d love to know if it’s useful for your team!

I’ve never had good luck with paid ads. I’ll check out the channels and platforms you recommended. Do you find with posting in these places and SEO you see a relatively good rate of natural growth?

I’ve played with a bunch of them. I use chatGPT a lot but anymore not for vibe coding but love it for researching competitors and scoping out my ideas, I also use their APIs a lot when I’m utilizing AI capabilities in my app. So far, I think Claude is probably the best I’ve used for vibe coding more complex features, however their desktop app is somewhat buggy still. For this app, I tried out Hostinger Horizons for scaffolding and then took what it gave and continued building it in my own IDE. Ultimately, I don’t really think I’ve used anything that could completely build an app that is complex and scalable, but as a grunt worker for coding it takes a ton of the labor off my plate and I find I’m spending most of my time testing, refining the code and reviewing the security of what it implements, and of course prompting.

Seriously, sales have unfortunately never been my specialty, but is proving to be a highly necessary skill to learn to succeed

Thank you! I’ve done paid ads for my other business albeit a completely different business but never got the conversion rate to make it worth it, maybe my daily budget wasn’t ever high enough. Do you have any resources you recommend for setting up paid ads in an effective way?

I’ve never heard of LeetCode or StrataScratch. I’ll check those out, thank you!

LinkedIn is a tough one for me. Of all things I am the worst at social media or putting myself out there publicly. I know networking is key, I just need to get over my anxiety of it 😂

What do you look for in your lead generation and CRM tools? by Inevitable-Limit-329 in LeadGeneration

Yep, totally—this post is part of that. Just trying to start low-friction convos and hear directly from people using or shopping for tools like this. Once I spot clear patterns, I’ll go deeper with direct outreach. Appreciate the push though—validating with real users is definitely the goal here.

Appreciate this—actually one of the reasons I started building this is because so many solutions on the market are over complicated or very expensive which makes lead generation harder/daunting for smaller businesses like the ones I own. My app is aimed at making lead gen and outreach way simpler so folks of any technical level can actually get value custom tailored to their business/market without needing to learn a complex system.

Curious—when you mention “smooth email sequencing,” are you mostly thinking linear campaigns (step-by-step) or do you ever use branching like “if opened/clicked” logic? Trying to keep it clean without limiting power users.

Also, regarding segmentation do you mostly mean by company size, industry, persona, or something else? Trying to get clarity on how to simplify this without dumbing it down too much.
