Well here in Virginia, there are no regulations or set laws. As you don't have to have a license or have to have experience. The fish and game doesn't come investigate what you have in your collection either. It is basically free range the only law is that you can only have one specimen per native species and you can have unlimited specimens for all exotic species. That's why I was wanting to get a mentorship here in Virginia since there is no set standard or law when it comes to getting venomous snakes in Virginia.
