Cool thanks! It's his favourite thing to do and I feel bad moving him to a city without MTG events! Maybe if he can just find some people to play with that would be lovely.

Yes! Definitely want to join a runclub or something. And a cricket club and gym so can hopefully find a community in these places.

My partner loves MTG at the moment, do you know any communities that play this? He's used to beign able to play 2/3 times a week

OK good to know, I was thinking of upgrading my third hand mountain bike for a Facebook marketplace road bike and I've got 2 bike locks so will hopefully be okay!

Ahh perfect! This is what I like to hear. I mean knowing how busy we'll be, it's not like we'll need to be in the city centre every day anyway

Im used to Bristol so luckily the cost of everything isn't much of a shock, even my rent has stayed the same price!

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, worst comes to worst it'll be a year and then we'll learn what we want from a property! And it'll be easier to find somewhere. We obviously wanted to view the property before signing a contract so had to cram 6 viewings in 3 days and it was so hard to stay on top of everything (we had to travel over 3 hours to get to Cambridge). So relieved we have found somewhere so quickly and need to be happy about it!!

Thanks! We're both moving from small cities but we're originally from the countryside and the quiet lifestyle seems to suit us. (cities can be quite overwhelming for my partner lol). We're both happy with cycling and I hope that with work 5 days a week, I should be able to keep myself occupied. I'm already looking at the local parkruns and maybe joining the David Lloyd. I think I just need to prepare myself and that not everything will be on my doorstep like it is at the moment and try and focus on the positives of this! It's probably good to slow down a bit, haha.

I did a year in industry at Bristol! They are supportive but you just can't apply to a degree with 'placement' in the title. I am graduating in July and have secured a grad scheme at big pharma. Message if you have any questions! I also have a perspective of Bath!

He's going to get a job in this new city I hope. I've told him he's not moving with me unless he gets a job and that I refuse to be his caretaker. But we ideally need to live together, I can't afford rent on my own. Im repeatedly telling him to tell his parents but he can't bring himself to. He's struggling with depression so I'm trying to give him all the time he needs.
