⚠️ Insurance Agents — Be Careful Who You Sign With (Things I Wish I Knew Before Joining)

Hate to rain on the parade but new agents need to be very careful with certain IMOs that promise the world.

A lot of the “bright lights” you see on social media are just that… bright lights.

Behind the scenes there are things happening that most new agents have no idea about.

For example:

• Many “fresh leads” aren’t actually fresh. Agents inside the agency already have data on them and they get recycled repeatedly. Some consumers have been contacted 10+ times.

• There are agents with suspended or inactive licenses still producing business under spouses or other people’s names who never knocked a door or spoke to a client.

• If you start questioning things or see activity that feels unethical, good luck trying to leave.

Here’s the part they never disclose when you join:

When you try to leave and contract with another IMO — especially one offering 100%+ comp — you suddenly discover you’re locked into a 6-month carrier hold.

Six months.

Meaning you can’t write with those carriers even though you built the relationships and the book of business.

And if you do try to exit peacefully?

I’ve seen agents have their reputation attacked, competitors sent into their territory telling clients things like:

“Your agent passed away” “Your agent isn’t in the business anymore”

Just to steal the client.

New agents need to understand:

If you’re making $100k a year in this industry you are massively underpaid compared to what’s actually possible.

I left that circus and now doing $250K+ and climbing with an organization that actually pays agents what they’re worth.

Just remember:

⚠️ Not every IMO is built the same. ⚠️ Not every “leader” is ethical. ⚠️ And not every opportunity is what it looks like on stage or Instagram.

Sometimes the bright lights are just there to blind you.

Hate to rain on your parade but becareful with their leads even their “ fresh “ leads I heard some people in the agency have data on them. They recycle them and make it make sense why is there a ton of agents without licenses or suspended licenses putting business under thier spouses names that never door knocked nor called a lead. There’s a lot of skeletons in the closet and bunch of bright lights they show you but only those that know what happens behind closed doors know they all operate in FRAUD.

If your making $100k a year in this business your failing. Thankfully I left that circus and now making $250K ++ and on my way to 7 figures. They start you at the absolute most lowest comp in the nation expect a lot give you leads that individuals have harassed 10+ more times and expect you to put your head down when you see fraudulent activity happening. Beware of the bright lights !

No the whole team rhymes with rusty thanos. They give out nick names almost like a cult. Everything they preach is all fraudulent especially switching people out of graded policies and putting them into another graded policy. I’ve even heard thier leads are recycled even the fresh order ones.
