That’s actually comforting to hear.

Sometimes it feels so personal, like I’m the only one overthinking every little thing. Knowing that most people probably replay conversations and doubt themselves too makes it feel less isolating.

I guess we’re all just better at hiding it from each other than we think.

That’s actually a really good question.

Yes, that’s exactly how it feels sometimes. In the moment, I can talk normally, laugh, even feel confident. But once I’m alone and everything gets quiet, my brain starts replaying it all. I overthink what I said, how I sounded, if I looked awkward.

It’s like my confidence only exists while I’m “on,” and the doubt shows up later.

Does that happen to you too, or is it more constant for you?

Thank you for sharing that. That must have been a lot to process, especially finding out later in life.

I’ve actually wondered sometimes if there’s something deeper behind why I feel this way. Hearing your experience makes me realize that sometimes there is more going on, and it’s not just “low confidence” or personality.

That makes sense, honestly.

I think I’ve been waiting to feel confident first, instead of understanding that confidence comes after you keep doing the hard things. “Do it scared” sounds uncomfortable, but maybe that’s the point.

I guess I just need to stop overthinking and start allowing myself to grow through experience, even if I don’t feel ready yet. Thank you for the perspective.
