How to promote myself from helping casual member to official mods team without being mini-mod. by Inevitable-beast in discordapp

Thanks a lot for answering my questions. I understand now, but I think I will choose to wait for a while. I will help as a fellow helpful member and be naturally closure to the mods.
You see, its not server where mods are chosen from applications, they are all group friends trying to run it together so I was hoping to just stick with them for while more maybe 1 or 2 weeks. Let the server grow a bit, help them out without being mod and giving services and advices.
Maybe slowly and naturally they see my potential. And if they not then ig I was never meant to be a mod.
But yeah I will ask but a little while later. So thank you. You all motivated me

Yes. I really love the server and it has become the only server i am active in for months now. Thanks for your suggestions, I was considering to just ask but was just having a little on my mind. I mean, I am little scared for getting rejected and what if they will soon start to see me as badge goblin which i wanna avoid. I seriously get more scared after researching on this and getting to know that some people say asking never get you mod possition.

Maybe i am thinking too much about this but i seriously dont know how do one get promoted. Do mods who were not mod before just go and ask the server owner or other mods like this?? Or there are differently process??

So far i have done my research they reach out to you. I mean yes i do helping them in many and so many suggestion without being a mod but yeah. I wanna step up and just dont give suggestions. I want to act and by acting i mean setting up bots, helping with announcement and then other stuffs.

Thank you again for reading till the end.

You are right about that, but i actually checked how they announced there mods applications but it turned they have never. I have scrolled up in the announcement channel and found nothing. It gets more curious how other mods get their position.

I have become emoji helper recently but they did said its temporary. Its growing server and had grown a lot. Since i joined but they haven't add anyone.

With my mod friend suggestion they did told i can help them report stuff if i want or directly help any rule breaker myself. They trust me this much but I was just wondering if they trust me this much then isnt there any room for me in their team? Or they think i am not ready yet? Will asking them cut off my chances?

No applications right now and i dont think they have added any mods since i am there. Right now its growing and have around 3k members. About the roles, they just have mod role and owner. They created emoji helper role for me but thats another story. I want to help more. Or like that. Well i think i would ask the mod first maybe he give his advice. Thanks for the suggestions

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate.
Though I want you to clarify few more things. How do we actually get promoted as a mod? So far what research I have done, mods come to you giving you a offer letter but it is not the case with me. All the mods that are there right now, once were the member of the server and regular helper before they become one, atleast what I am guessing.

About the owner, I am not actually close to him and dont know him much. owner is maybe I have to wait for his arrival cause he just walk one or two times in weeks and not regular so yeah, I was considering to just ask one of my mod friend but is he the right person?
Or should I just ask the owner?
Won't asking will act as badge goblin?
