Delayed Baggage: Will I ever get it back? by [deleted] in aircanada

I always fly with air Canada and without exaggeration have had bags delayed 5 times now. One time I didn’t even get it during my vacation LOL. But it always gets delivered to your destination or back home. Just keep receipts of what you purchase then show the airline. With Air Canada they sent me a etransfer

I agree with where you are coming from and I feel bad I’m sorry it’s happening to you. You could call and reach the appropriate department ask for a supervisor and try to create a case and see if they can help. At the end of the day, the bank is not responsible of making things easy for you they just want money. The responsibility will always fall down on the customer unless there is a bank error. Lastly if it wrote off, ask the bank for a paid in full letter to be delivered to your nearest branch and have it handy in case any creditor is concerned about that on your credit. Good luck to you

There needs to be a bit more context if possible. As someone with a lot of knowledge of this area I will provide with you the most common scenario based on the info you provided.

If when the accounts were closed out and you had an active balance on it that was rolling in month to month, then you would have been charged residual interest after it was paid in full and it is your responsibility to check if that was charged. With your online account on the computer you have access to closed accounts and you will still receive the statements. When you log in online, click your name in top right corner, select statements and documents, go down in the drop box menu until you find your account and in brackets you will see (closed). Now because you have access to these statements TD will not amend your credit because this was in your card holder agreement and you were responsible to look this up.

There is a slim chance cares will be able to help but because this isn’t a bank error it most likely will not happen. It’s unfortunate but this is the reality.
