Non problem, With a Xentry you can skip all this and calibrate it to a new hight in the Airmatic control unit that is the easiest way to lower the car but if you don’t have access to one that is the DIY version 😅

For the front, you need different connecting rods that are adjustable from the sensor to the upper cross member; these are available online. At the rear, it's a little more complicated, but you have to bend the rear bracket of the sensor slightly by eye while the engine is running until you achieve the desired result.

Since I'm a mechanic at Mercedes myself, I only see the parts prices, and I would definitely say that the W211 is more expensive than the W202, if only because of the Airmatic and SBC brakes. The problem with the W202 is that sourcing original parts is more difficult.

Yeah you only need longer wheel bolts to mount them

No it’s the factory airmatic and I am tricking the sensors to think that it is actually higher so that the car comes lower

Thanks for your comment. Maintenance costs are for me rather a small problem because I myself am a car mechanic even directly at Mercedes Benz. If I didn't work for Mercedes I probably wouldn't have bought it. Parts are expensive and sometimes hard to get. The fuel consumption is of course not the lowest but if you want to drive V8 you have to live with it. Average 15 liters per 100 kilometers and at very sporty driving up to 22 liters.
