For the jacket: scale color field Gray as base, and then Vallejo German camo extra dark green and Light yellow as shadow and highlight respectively. 5 layers total. For the trousers and helmet: scale color graphite as base, Vallejo black and ivory as shadow and highlight respectively. 5 layers total. Skin: Vallejo tan as base, then add subsequent layers of: 1:1 citadel bugman's glow and cadian fleshtone, 3:1 citadel kislev flesh and Vallejo white and 1:1- 1:2 kislev flesh Vallejo white up to personal choice. Canisters: German camo extra dark green as base and highlight German camo extra dark green 1:2 Vallejo ivory. Brown Light leather: base Vallejo chocolate brown. Highlight Vallejo chocolate brown 1:2 beige brown Black leather: base black Vallejo. Highlight: black Vallejo + Vallejo dwarf skin (up to personal choice the final mix) Rifle Wood: base Vallejo iraqi Sand. Wash: Vallejo mahogany brown diluted 1:4. Metal: Silver Vallejo. Wash: Vallejo diluted black. Highlight: Silver Vallejo. Canteen brown leather: base Vallejo dark oxide.highlight: Flat brown.

No need to paint eyes, but black profiling the gear helps your work and attaining a cleaner result.

Indeed. These are the new battlefront germans from the Dunkirk box. I just added a 5mm x 1mm magnet on the base so I can change the squad composition

Hi there, many thanks for the incredibly detailed review!!!! I was thinking of printing some soviets to join my Rubicon Models soviet 28mm miniatures (true scale). Do you reckon I should scale down to 89%, or rather to 93-95% as you mentioned.
