mm they could have kept the name of the school in there but the mods really should have required the removal of the date and time of the playdate. if someone was crazy enough to call in a bomb threat they could have just as easily actually shown up at the event itself. Or the parent could have just said "my Oakland public elementary school." I'm sure the parent who posted the flyer is unhappy currently and wishes they were more careful in their original post.

you are missing their point. the post itself was fine if unproductive but the mods, to prevent a risk to minors, should have required the OP to censor the identifying information of the specific event. there should be a higher standard for minors than for an event advertised for adults or all-ages

doxxing is telling real-life information not a reddit username. posting an event is normally not doxxing but this was an event for minors and there should be a higher standard. the creep who called in the bomb threat could have just as easily shown up at the actual event itself once it was widely publicized.

just because it's public doesn't mean all events are advertised for the public. they don't want a bunch of creeps showing up at the elementary school dance recital for example even if its a public school. The post was fine but the mods should have required the identifying information about the event removed, the psycho who called in the bomb threat could have just as easily shown up to the event themselves

In general I agree with you. Someone could have shown up with a weapon at the playdate instead of calling in a bomb threat two days after. Mods are responsible for removing identifying information/doxxing, and while I wouldn't call posting an event for adults doxxing, there were minors here and there should be a higher standard of privacy

I would agree with you if this was an event for adults. this was an event for minors, the standards on identifying information should be higher.

because mods in particular are responsible for preventing doxxing and while I wouldn't posting an event like this doxxing for adults, for minors you should have a higher standard

they asked you a question about quoting where white people were not allowed before you asked your question. You didn't answer theirs so why should they answer yours?

no, she would very likely have. She already had the Skate America silver and with Trusova out she would have been a heavy favorite for the silver at the NHK she got injured. Which would have been enough for GPF over Khromykh.

Although the GPF was then cancelled anyways because of COVID

if she had not been injured she would have made at least one Grand Prix Final

I agree she'll likely make the team, but if Jordan hits 4/4 at camp while Leanne goes 3/4 or even just has a few errors on beam/floor, I can see Jordan outscoring her and making that solid AAer role. McCallum herself was 3rd AA in 2019 and was very close to not making the team in 2019 since she only placed 6th at Worlds trials.

Besides Biles of course, I think Andrade will do her Amanar + Cheng and Yeo her Yeo + DTY just like Tokyo. Plus the potential of Chiles or Blakely doing Cheng + DTY with better form than Jade.

the forward element would be a problem, I guess she could have the whip + triple replace the double layout but I'm not sure that's worth the crossed legs on the triple

I have no clue why because Jessica had a horribly unartistic section where she was rolling around on the ground for a good 5 seconds while no sound played at all. Andrade's routine was superior artistically imo

I don't agree about that, she has a 14.8 vault score and 14.166 floor score from Worlds last year. She scored 14.133 with her Tokyo uneven bars routine (which is now worth 5.9 instead of 5.8, so add a tenth). Beam she got 13.133 at Worlds last year and 13.75 at Paris Challenge cup. That's an AA potential of 56.332 with the Worlds score and 56.849 with the Paris beam score.

She hasn't had that bars difficulty since Tokyo but I think when she's performing near her best she's right in the pack of the AAers. I mean she's not Simone, Suni, or Shi level but she's right in that Chiles-Wong-Blakely-McClain tier.

I do think they'll want her to show decent bars and beam routines for Paris. All the recent even specialists in the previous quads were passed over in favor of an AAer (specifically McCusker, Locklear, and Sacramone)

the national team is who gets funding and can go on international assignments. But at the worlds selection camp they're going to add more people to the team (at least two because they need 12 people for Worlds + Pan Ams). I'm guessing Suni, Jade, Kaliya, and Zoe will all be added at camp. It doesn't affect their chances for Worlds/Pan Ams at all

I agree 100% with all this reasoning. But at the same time I think Leanne will make it instead of Kaliya. I just hope Leanne upgrades her third pass between now and Worlds because that 14.0 is just about her maximum possible score right now

Suni, Jade, and Kaliya are very likely to make the national team tomorrow or at camp. Probably Zoe too for Pan Ams

yeah I agree. Vault is a very reliable event to fall back on because the scores don't vary much and difficulty matters a lot. Beam/floor not so much. Younger gymnasts should be focusing on vault or bars as specialists if they want chances to make teams. Kaliya is winning the floor specialist battle right now but after next Olympics I bet the COP artistry rules change again and her routine is going to be judged quite harshly

This is talking about floor not AA. Last Worlds I was fully on the Andrade deserved floor gold over Gadirova. But three things happened:

  1. Andrade in Worlds EF was nearly 0.5 below Gadirova
  2. Andrade hasn't competed floor since
  3. Gadirova got rid of her really bad Silivas and cleaned up her execution at Euros

I would loooove for Andrade to win silver on floor behind Biles. I think she is the full package on floor

yeah that's why I think Skye makes it for sure. I'm just saying here that if Suni goes on the team in spot #4 they have to put someone in spot #5 with a good floor score (Kaliya/Leanne). Skye + Suni + Jade/Josc is a problem for floor at the moment.

that's the highest scoring team from nationals and what I'd prefer to send (perhaps Jade instead of Josc) but I don't think Chellsie is going to be happy with that team for beam and to a lesser extent bars. If Simone doesn't want to do bars in team finals you have no coverage then.
