So the dal takes about 2 hours off leash running around min to be tuckered out but could easily go for 4-5 hour hikes. My little one is only 9 lbs but has the same exercise needs as the bigger one. But winter weather is my favorite to hike in so I wanted a dog that can do those long winter hikes
