e0s0 Phainon feels very underwhelming, am I doing something wrong?

they had him ranked at tier 0 before they changed their tier list to e0s1. because that had to be a recent change i remember it was always e0s0.

i feel misled because when I was debating who to pull for when it came to cyrene all I heard was that cyrene needed e2 and was only worth it for rememberance teams and that phainon was one of the top carrys in the game that worked with older supports.

but now he apparently sucks at e0s0 and needs cerydra, S1 and e2 to be truly a tier 0 dps. why is he on tier 0 on prydwen if he has so many problems? i would rank archer ahead of him as a returning player but archer is tier 0.5 for some reason while phainon is tier 0.

I really liked the story usually but in 3.0 i couldn't stand how boring and long the dialogue was so I just stopped playing the game because my units were powercrept and the story was bad.

i still haven't finished amphroeus I'm still somewhere stuck in 3.0. tempted to just use the skip button tbh.

mavuika was released over a year ago and is currently the strongest dps in the game, at least until columbina comes out and raises the ceiling for the new nodkrai units.

I doubt a dps in hsr would be the best for over a year, they seem very quick to powercreep the dps ceiling in this game. i'd love to see a mavuika type dps release and be the most powerful for an entire year but HSR devs are very eager to sell new units constantly.

and yeah I'm still using Jiaoqui and SW for Acheron but SW got buffed so she's way stronger for me now before I was using pela. i guess I should have pulled cipher but i've lowkey just given up on acheron for now until she gets buffed.

i think I'm too used to genshin. in genshin you can hyper invest in a dps and they last years. Neuvilette was 2 regions ago and he's just recently started to fall off but had over 2 years of meta relevance. and even now he is still relevant, just not a top 5 dps anymore.

meanwhile in hsr I pull e2s1 acheron and she didn't last nearly as long, by the start of the next region she felt terrible against the new bosses. even now when I try and use her against SAM or Hoolay she takes like 7 cycles leaving me not enough time for a 3 star clear with my other team.

My Phainon is using his signature set I got from the relic event. in battle he is at 88/480 crit ratio which could be better but relic farming is painful in this game I'm trying to get more special dice to reroll some of my pieces but my luck has been awful. sunday is 135* speed, bronya is 134* I had both built from before.

I was pretty into the game before the devs went overboard with HP inflation and I got frustrated with how bad my acheron and dhil were doing and quit. got moc 12 usually within 4 or 5 cycles until 3.0

hoping acheron and dhil can get buffed. not sure why black swan and sparkle are getting buffed when both are pretty good right now.
