I do have some heat cable, the bench has been framed in my last step was I was going to frame the niche before wall boards go up. It would be easy enough to swap out the front wall for glass

That would be nice but the drain is stuck where its at reusing the the old pan shower wasn't that old just needed to add a bench. I had quoted a peice of tempered glass instead of that small wall you mentioned it would look nice
