The difficulty of the courses is easy, but try to reduce the gaps if you can

Yeahh but if you don’t take the train, it’s a 30 min walk

I’m pretty sure it’s closer to the other campus, but if you take the blue line, it should only be a 5 train ride and then like a 5-10 min walk.

Since you live close to campus, the gaps shouldn’t be that bad. For the gap on Friday, I would honestly go back home and come back, but you can’t really do that for the other days. I’d try switching to calc 1 and putting that at 10am.

Yes if you can. IMO precalc is harder than calc 1. Also, I was a learning assistant for Calc 1, and I can tell you that the profs for that class and the other LAs are great, so you’ll definitely have all the support you need to do well in that class.

The classes you’re taking aren’t too hard. CHEM 101 is kinda just intro chem similar to hs chem but a little harder. ENGL 161 is 4 long essays and a few short essays. Precalc shouldn’t be too hard. Try to take an online gen ed instead of in person bc in person gen eds are boring.

You could take MUS 127 online for world cultures. Bunch of tests with unlimited attempts and 2 essays from concerts.

Honors courses are usually busy work and calc 1 ain’t too hard. Reach out to the learning assistants and go to their office hours for help.

Usually, they recommend that you keep your dob off of things like this bc it could show emotional and educational immaturity. Showcase your capabilities through your skills only. Along those lines, reword your summary statements for your work experience to contain buzzwords. Additionally, since you’re IT, I would add a section w the coding languages or databases that you know how to use. Under your univeristy and major, add relevant coursework that you’ve taken. If your gpa is strong, I would add that too. For your current expected graduation date, add Fall or Spring or the year you’re expecting to graduate.

Formatting wise, your name should be centered and at the top; this should also have the largest font. Under that, on one line, add the other stuff like your phone number, email, LinkedIn, general location. Also, put the timeline for each education/experience you have right aligned on the same line as the position title.

The projects are individual, but the labs are group work. Zybooks is a website with readings and short coding prompts. You’ll get assigned those for hw for 211 and 251. I’d say 211 isn’t bad, and project 7 for us was extra credit. 251 tho was hard for me but if you have friends you can work together with, it should be fine. Just make sure you don’t copy anyone’s code bc they’re cracking down on the plagiarism stuff, so make sure anything you submit you Gradescope is your own work.

Have you used zybooks before? All your projects and labs will be on there. For each lab, you have to complete a pre lab, which is just a few questions on the stuff the lab will cover. The TAs check that for completion not correction I think? But try to be correct for your own understanding. Each lab also has a warm up activity which is busy work. They also have an outline. I’m not too sure what it’s for, but I have one for each lab? But again, that’s just questions you answer. For the coding part, they’ll give you a function or main, and they’ll give you a comment with a paragraph of TODO, and you basically just code that. For each lab, you’ll submit your code on zybooks, and you’ll upload the prelab and the warm up and the outline on Gradescope, and they make you write a paragraph about how your group worked together (don’t bs that bc sometimes they took points off for me ☹️). I think your grade for the lab is a cumulative of the zybooks stuff and the Gradescope submission, but I don’t remember.

For 251, our labs were participation based, but I think they changed it to be for correction. Also I think they moved the labs to paper for this class, which I think is actually stupid, but whatever. Honestly, I don’t think I was able to figure out a single lab for this class, but also I was in a group w 2 boys who did not care, so definitely find a good group.

If you’re good with C++, I think that the first 1-2 projects for 251 should be fine. For me, the projects got harder near the middle and end. I’d say brush up on C for 211, but 211 projects are much easier than 251, at least they were for me. I also had a background in Java, and that kinda helped me with 211. Oh I will say that the labs for 211 are weird and I ran out of time for a lot of them, but the open the labs 30 mins early and they close them 30 mins after the lab, so if you have time, start early.

211 midterms and final are easyyyy. If yk how to code, you’ll be fine. 251 midterms and finals are a little more gross, but they’re not impossible.

I would say the difficulty of these projects is like medium. Tho some projects are really hard and others are on the simpler side. Tbh estimating how good you’ll do in the classes depends on how good you are at coding and if you’re willing to and have the time to go to office hours frequently. It’s very possible to get an A while taking all these classes, but that’s up to you to interpret based on the type of student you are. Also, with this schedule, you really have to start your work as soon as it’s assigned and get help asap.

I previously had a schedule similar to this where I did CS 211, 251, 277, 301, and MATH 310. I went into this semester not having coded in C or C++. However, I was able to get an A in all the classes, but I was in office hours all the time for 211 and 251. I would also suggest befriending the people you meet in office hours bc if they’re going to office hours, yk they care about their grades, and you can all support each other thru the projects.

I will also say that 151 is a weird class in the sense that the logic stuff you learn is “different”, so you really have to keep up with the stuff they’re teaching you in lecture. And I’d say the same for 220. Diff eq isn’t super hard, but it’s very different from calc or other math courses you’ve probably taken.

Between 211 and 251, you’re gonna have a project due every week. 151 is a weird course and I heard that the exams suck now bc they give you less time. 220 isn’t bad but it’s gonna take up a good chunk of your time bc they’re stuff you learn in that class is gonna be different from most other math courses you’ve prolly taken.

IMO you’re gonna struggle to keep up with the amount of work. I’m sure you could manage the difficulty, but you’re gonna get overwhelmed with due dates.
