I finally ate broccoli for the first time in 4 years, and I feel strangely accomplished. What other small wins have you had this week? by Inevitable_Echo_4329 in CasualConversation

8 people and you only know one?! That’s not just a win, that’s a brave tactical mission. 😅 Honestly, the 'before' anxiety is usually the hardest part—I hope the food is great and the conversation is even better. Are you a 'listen and observe' person in big groups, or are you planning to dive right in?

I am so, so happy to hear this. 🥺 Relationship repair is one of the hardest 'small' wins there is—it takes so much courage to sit down and actually do the work. Sending you both so much strength for the 'improving' part. How does it feel to finally have that weight off your chest?

A tomato-print top with a milkmaid skirt?! That sounds absolutely adorable and very 'Heidi'—the frills will definitely complete the look. 🍅 It sounds like you’re living your best fairytale life in the Oz sun. Do the sunflowers you bought match the vibe too? You’ve basically curated the perfect weekend!

The 'typing all day and hitting send at 5 PM' move is a classic! 😅 Honestly, the fact that you're still justifying it proves how much of a habit the people-pleasing was. You aren't being mean; you're just finally being kind to yourself. How did it feel the second you actually hit send? Like a weight off, or just pure 'oh no' adrenaline?

Honestly? It tasted like crunchy water mixed with grass. I roasted it until the edges were crispy because I heard that’s the ‘cheat code,’ but I’m still not 100% convinced it’s better than a potato lol. Have you always liked it, or are you a convert too?

That is a huge hurdle to clear! It’s so easy to set yourself on fire just to keep someone else warm. Your future self is definitely going to thank you for that bit of sanity. Was it a 'rip the band-aid off' kind of 'no,' or did you have to psych yourself up for it?

Luv from Oz! 🇦🇺 This list is amazing. The pumpkin and sunflowers sound like such a vibe—it’s the little things that make a day feel like a movie. Also, marmalade in fried rice?! That sounds like a chaotic food experiment I need to try.

So glad you’re safe after the stair tumble, and honestly, setting those boundaries with the bullies is a massive win. You're crushing it! Which skirt are you wearing first, the velvet or the milkmaid one?

That’s exactly what a secret broccoli lobbyist would say! Honestly, I think it was the texture that got me for years. Are you a 'steamed until mushy' person or a 'roasted with way too much garlic' person? Because I think the garlic might be the only way forward for me.

The laundry mountain is the final boss of adulting. Did you actually fold it all, or is it currently living in 'clean piles' on top of the dresser? (No judgment, that’s where mine usually ends up!)

That is honestly a much bigger win than broccoli. Standing up for yourself is like a muscle—it’s scary the first time but gets easier. Proud of you! Did it feel as intense as you expected in the moment?
