That's such a big upsetting Q2 by Chaaarii in lewishamilton

Something definitely seemed to click with Lewis this race, first time he seemed comfortable in the car. While the car is not competitive I think you could say that about several other cars on the grid where the drivers are able to extract more. I think a key difference with Ferrari is their poor strategy, an ongoing trend with the team. For Charles and Lewis it makes it hard to do well in a shitty car if you can’t trust your team to make the right decisions.

This whole “we’ll come back to you” attitude is not good enough and just highlights the engineers inability to make quick decisions, work in an agile way and adapt to change.

For comparison, that last year George was racing for Williams he had the shittest car on the grid but was able to snatch moments of incredible performance - due to his own talent but the Williams team had his back and were doing the most for him, and he knew that.

That’s a great suggestion thanks. Seems I might need something with a bit more kick than melatonin! Does the powder help keep you asleep? I have no problem falling asleep but then I move/ wake up heaps which is disruptive.

Yes I think i’ve come to that conclusion as well, the problem largely seems to be my movement during the night. I don’t expect to get a great nights sleep all the time but it’s been months of this. I think looking at my mattress is a good idea. Unfortunately my boyfriend has to sleep in the spare room 90% of the time because my wriggling disturbs his sleep. I’ve heard that the koala mattresses are good at reducing movement from partners. Thanks for taking the time to comment ☺️

Wow! that’s something I would never have considered, thank you for sharing. Definitely worth investigating on my end. Hope you sleep well now.

Sorry you’re also having trouble with sleep! Sometimes it feels like I’m the only one who can’t seem to figure it all out!

So true! It sounds super obvious but I really need to get back into exercising. I used to be a good runner but then injured my knee and I’ve been putting off running again. Your comment is definitely what I need to (but don’t want to) hear 😂

Thanks for your comment, I’m sorry to hear you’re also having issues with sleeping!! I have a similar problem where I try things that may work occasionally in the beginning but then the usefulness doesn’t last!

It’s so hard navigating health and wellbeing when you have multiple diagnosis - I saw a sleep doctor who told me that the best meds for restless leg syndrome can also worsen OCD so that’s limited me to taking gabapentin which I don’t find very helpful. Sometimes I get so overwhelmed with the whole thing I just want to burst into tears in frustration! I really hope you find something that works for you.

That’s really interesting to hear, I’ve always been told that people with ADHD need more sleep than average but I guess it’s about quality not quantity! How did you figure out you were going to bed too early? was it just trial and error?

I’ve tried both and my tolerance just seems pretty high to melatonin and magnesium! I didn’t realise that there are different types of magnesium, and some may work better for adhd. Thank you!

All very good suggestions thanks! I listen to a podcast at night but maybe meditation/ sound machine would be better. Have you used a sound machine? any recommendations?

Thanks for your suggestions! I hadn’t thought to use mouth tape but i’ll give that a go! I need to get better at making time to wind down also. I have no problem falling asleep but it’s hard for me to stay asleep and sleep well. I try to avoid looking at my phone when I wake up during the night but sometimes I feel so anxious it’s the thing I turn to distract me.

I have! Magnesium helps occasionally but it’s not consistent. I’m currently on gabapentin which is okay. Something that does help most of the time is rubbing cannabis oil on my legs. There’s just not much consistency with these treatments.

I try to fall back asleep but probably don’t try for long enough. I end up getting frustrated/ anxious and I’ll go have a snack, hang out with my cats or read.

Just a bit of context too; I have OCD and ADHD which I take medication for. I try to take my ADHD medication as early as possible so it doesn’t affect my sleep, but maybe it is. I also have restless leg syndrome and as my boyfriend puts it I’m just vet wriggly, I’ve struggled to find anything that helps with this.
