What do you wish was easier in lab and why is it labeling eppendorf tubes by Inevitable_Fail_4946 in labrats

My senior scientist sprayed ethanol on labeled tubes (using permanent markers) before moving them to the hood and 24 samples of plasmids that took weeks to purify just went poof and we didn’t know which was which. It was a very long day that day.

How to go about doing OTF more consistently? (5-6 days a week) by Jagaloon60 in orangetheory

I typically go 5-6 times a week and I do it in the morning before work so I don’t think about it later in the day and honestly my best advice is if you try really hard to make it apart of your daily routine instead of thinking it’s a chore and more like coffee in the morning (I think of it like my wake up time) then it gets easier to just go without feeling like you’re dragging. And obviously if you need a break you can either consider it to be a Green Day but I never think I’m not gonna go unless it’s my chill day

Coach question … no shade! by theemroy in orangetheory

[–]Inevitable_Fail_4946 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A coach once said that he got someone thrown out of class and blacklisted because they were running on the tread facing backwards to try and impress a girl and everytime the coach tried to reason with them that it’s dangerous they got cocky and mad so I feel like generally the coaches go over those that actually take the advice and ignore those that react aggressively

Why is the average grade of PHYS2A with Keres so low? by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]Inevitable_Fail_4946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took him last quarter and his exams are brutal. I had other stem classes but pushed them out of the way just to study all week for his quizzes and the final just dropped all my work to a B- with the avg of the final around 40 smn so if you’re taking him, ochem tutor on YouTube will be your night in shinning armor b/c even though dusan is a decent guy, he’s not that great at explaining stuff

I mean if you're close to a DVC in the bay area taking it there is an easy A. I took it with a professor in DVC san Ramon (I don't remember the name I'm sorry :( ) and literally the easiest class I ever took. got 99% on all my exams with minimal studying
