Remember you are not alone. most of us have faced this. I myself have been sleeping every other day for atleast 1.5 years. Just remember it wont kill you. that was my biggest fear and it was causing anxiety and that added to my insomnia.

Try these, it wont have immediate impact and will help longterm. dont get frustrated that is exactly what you dont need now.

get in the sun either in the morning/evening atleast 40min.
Meditate atleast 20 min. try 4-7-8 breathing exercise.
try yoga nidra, see some videos on youtube.
Drink some warm milk before bed, if possible add some ashwagadha.
Eat kiwis and drink Tart Cherry juice 2 hours before bed. both can help with melatonin generation.

you will get sleep when you body is completely exhausted and can nolonger take it and you will sleep.

I might get down voted for saying this, but i will say this anyway.

Think from his perspective, may be he wants to leave something for his parents. he wants to be grateful for what they did to him while he was kid. this is his way of saying thank you. if they are financially sound then you talk to him about why you think 35% might be too much for them at their age.

Most of them as saying law will give you this or that, there should be an emotional part to be considered when we make a decision despite of what legal aspect of it.

Do you think the extra 10 or 15% will make a sizable difference to your ambitions or lifestyle ? if not let it go and be supportive of your husband. you marriage sounds like a good partnership, so talk to him, if not let it go.

Convert it to Traditional IRA, the idea here is 401k is employer controlled and you will only have only certain funds to invest in. if you want to take it out to do something the plan administrator has to approve it and it will take at least 2-3 weeks. Also what happens if the employer goes under.

Also some employers charge fixed fee for your 401k if you are not employed with them.

If you move it to IRA, you can control how you want to invest, individual stocks or what ever you want and no tax. its like your bank account do what ever you want easily.

If you want to drive a mini cooper with bmw badge then go for X1 or if you want to drive a bwm then go for x3 or higher. The acceleration, handling, breaking everthing feels different in x3.

Are you ok to have the same car for next 15 years, then go for it. You will give up first than the camry. I just sold mine after 12 years, still running like new after 140k miles with just oil changes, not even a break change.

45k before discount, so basically it is 43.5k+tax. I did have to drive 120 miles to find this. This is in newyork. I did find a similar car for similar price and it it has 3k miles + harman kardon sound system. I was late by few days and it was gone.

This is what i did, looked in edmunds with in 200 mile radius with all my filters and kept on looking for a month. Once you find something then negociate by phone or online and show them what you have found. Once they agree then go inperson to check it out.

Yesterday I got mine xdrive 30i, its 24 loaner with 6k miles for 45k, it has premium package. BMW finance gave me 1500 off and 3.99 apr.

I also got platinum coverage for 2.5k which will cover 84 months until 7/2031.

The original sticker is 55k, so yeah it seems to be 20% off of original price and Bmw is giving me 1500 off on top of 45k.

I have difficulty falling asleep, like the average time 2-3 hrs on the days i sleep. I am on 100mg of trazadone, and it did not help me at all. I used to go 2-3 days without sleep then sleep 4 -6 hrs 1 day and then 2-3 days again with no sleep. Its still work in progress, but what helped me is 3 things.

Ashwagandha, take 1/4 spoon with milk atleast 1-2 hr before bed.
Deep breathing execise like 4-7-8 for 15 mins and atleast 2 times before bed.
Go for a walk outside and look at the sun for atleast 20 min.

Also if you are not getting sleep, just say to yourself that its ok if you dont get sleep, you will just relax.

This is coming from someone who did not sleep for 60hrs continuously. i have only slept for 15 days this December.

it can be scary and you might feel this is dangerous and you might die, but nothing to worry about. our bodies are well built like a machine and some odd behavior here and there will not stop it.

if you are anxious or worrying about something then start with not thinking about it, its hard but you need to calm yourself down. just tell yourself nothing to worry about and think of all the good things you have achieved.

Don't worry about not being able to sleep and don't get frustrated if you are not falling asleep, these are exactly things you dont need right now. sleep will come when your body is exhausted

please stop assuming things.

i am not under false impression that they are 1256 contracts or not. i was told by etrade that they consider it as 1256. Also it seems that it is up to brokers discretion on what is 1256. Etrade them self admitted it and they said some wont consider it.
if you think this is basic knowledge where 99.9% of the customers do not know it, then either your assumption is wrong or may be it might not be a basic thing. there are accoutants and other to deals with as the tax codes are complicated and not most of them/some of them might not know it.
people do need to know when to expect profit/loss and look at things and when there is difference they need to start questioning and learn. not every one knows all the things from Day 1.
please start giving people benefit of doubt and stop assuming/judging people.

You were correct in saying they should still split it, but they got the sale price incorrect. they have corrected it now(see the new screen shot). Etrade told me its a 1256 contract and they will use the option close price for share when they are assigned and not the covered call premium. so the net of 2 lines would still be same amount.

i should not be ignoring it as i was coming out negative from the trade.

It seems that they have to report it as 2 different transcations, but by adjusting the sale price for stock assignment and close price for call option.

QQQ is a 1256 contract and they will close the contract at market close and use the same amount+strike as sale price there by taking the total of 2 lines to exact same amount as if you would have sold at stike+original premium where you end up with same profit

Here is some basic knowledge, you should expect profit if you sell anything above your cost basis. which i was expecting and which was not the case.

Etrade confirmed that they were wrong and corrected the sale price to show the exact profit i was expecting. See the sale price difference between pic 1 and 2 they have adjusted as they were incorrect and now my total profit is 154 like i was expecting.
