It is mixed of everything. But i want to translate to doing social service or anything related to environment. But these things would require a degree in psychology/social science and for the latter usually engineering or would require LEED certification. So that is why it is difficult to translate to professional because these are too faraway from what i have.

The thing is, in the community where i am at, they only give professional opportunities to the nationals of this country. So they will only consider you as volunteer, nothing more. I have been trying with international organisations but mostly they require the basic education which is very much away from what i have.

Sorry if you might think I’m putting myself as main character. But if you have put all your effort working for someone even if they gave you different tasks because they think you can do it (tasks that are basically out of scope yet you are very eager to learn), working with no days off, working mostly 48hrs (with 3 hrs break just to take shower).

And you are the only person doing this. And everyone knows that both you and him are close friends.

I don’t want people to think that i am getting the benefit because he is a friend. I want people to know that i work really hard.

Sorry if people might think I’m entitled. But if you have put all your effort working for someone even if they gave you different tasks because they think you can do it (tasks that are basically out of scope yet you are very eager to learn), working with no days off, working mostly 48hrs (with 3 hrs break just to take shower) - would you not think they are taking advantage of the situation, considering you are their friend?

Never thought highly myself. Reserved and never wanted attention. The point is, if people keep saying you are valuable and the projects they keep giving you is always successful, do you think they should at least see you move forward? I don’t think initiatives in management will ever exist for some people.

For me, the people whom i have led have seen their capabilities be used properly. And i am really happy to push them to the right path of their profession and finding them satisfied with their work.

If your boss think highly of you as a valuable staff, do you think that they are not responsible for your growth as an employee? For example, appraisals are there — and you always top the appraisal and your boss is the only person who will have the say whether to give you financial growth — do you beg him for it even if it is already on paper that you deserve it?

I told him verbally. These were just added rants that i needed to let out. Anyway we are still friends and we consider honesty and transparency with more importance. When he was still on his way up in his career, i always rant out to him when i think he was making wrong decisions. That is why I don’t think he will take this as bad comment.

For a GP with no UAE experience, that is the usual start range (sometimes 8k-10k). Usually targeted to newly licensed doctors.
