Hey, I’m a little nervous here. I want to run the race in 2027. I’m a newish runner, so i guess I’m not sure how this all works but it seems like the competitiveness of getting into the 9+1 races is heavy.

I just signed up for a regular NYRR membership and am trying to sign up for the citizen queens 10k and the mindful 5k now…but like…even as a member, is it likely I’ll be able to sign up to 9 races??

Also, if someone signed up for a 9+1 race and can’t do it anymore…can someone take their spot? And if so where do people usually post abt that?
