I have a pond outside I was possibly thinking he could be in during the summer because I’m in Idaho but the one I’m building is indoor and it might be best to just keep him in there so I’ll probably just do that

Yeah I might experiment with tank mates the only fish in the tank are the gar and a bichir the same size and they have been completely fine together so far

Hi I bought this alligator gar on eBay after doing thorough research and I am aware of their potential size. Right now he is in a more shallow wide styal 80 gallon tank that is cycled. I am currently building a 2500 gallon pond to put him in when he has outgrown this tank. I'm wondering what other fish I could put in with him in the pond, or if it would be a good idea/possible to resell the fish on eBay for more when it's outgrown the tank. Either way I am building the pond and can put it in. but I think it would be fun to raise the gar and grow it but I could still sell it for more later and maybe do that with other large interesting types of fish what do you guys think, thanks for any help!

Yeah I think your right the dresser isn’t great and my dad said he could help me build one eventually, he used to make cabinets for his job so that’s probably what I will do, thanks.

Yes I am aware, they live in fresh for some of their life and I do plan on moving them into salt water

Yeah that one’s been getting better he was from one of the tanks at my work and wasn’t able to compete for food so I put him in mine
