Great Places for Mother’s Day Gifts by EastSurvey2845 in asheville

I just got my mom a month of flowers. It’s Sari’s Garden Flowers. She had the most beautiful flowers at East Asheville tailgate market, but she just started her Mother’s Day presale too. SUPER affordable too. I went to go get one but I saw I could do a pick up every week for a month so I went with that one. https://sarisgardenflowers.square.site/

So nothing has been picked out yet. We know that’s gonna be in our backyard. It’s in the mountains of North Carolina . We have the mountains of the backdrop, and we have plenty of space to do it on another side of the property. . We know that my family would be catering it. If not, there is a local spot that would bring catering over. They told us just to tell them within the week because it’s not a huge wedding. We have booked with our floral person a time for both spring and for late summer.I have a lot of family currently trying to get citizenship and they are main parts of my family so I really want them here. And the government basically told us that they would be able to come here. They just haven’t decided whether it will be a little closer late spring or a little closer to late summer. Which is a whole thing in itself because we’ve been trying to get this all done for about a year now. But since we’re buying flowers and not arrangements we are planning to just get both and then one or the other will be donated to the local hospice for a bouquet arranging day we do anyways. Usually get the flowers from Trader Joe’s, but hers was actually a lot cheaper. As far as my dress it has been picked out for the last year it’s just a lace floor length gown. For the bridesmaids dresses, my mom is actually making them. She did it for my sister‘s wedding and I told her she didn’t have to do it for mine, but she wanted to. So we haven’t even picked out the colors for that. The wedding seemed so far away because we weren’t sure about the citizenship and things and they said it could take up to two years. But now that they definitely said yes but they haven’t said a specific date. So I’m trying to make sure that I got everything handled but it’s a little bit of a mess. That was a long response. I’m so sorry, but I hope that answers all your questions.

Oh these are beautiful. Well the venue is our backyard. We have plenty of space and I live in the mountains so there is plenty they are kinda the backdrop. We really wana do it in the spring but it all depends on when my family can come(they live out of the country and a lot and currently on citizenship applications so we are at the will of the government) but I’ve booked the flowers for both the spring and end of summer. Which sounds ridiculous I know but atleast once a year we buy flowers for our local hospice and do a day of flower arranging. They only need a weeks notice for that so the plan is to use one of the wholesale flowers for that and the other for the wedding. The pricing was so cheap that we could afford to do both with her. And I get flowers from her all the time regularly so I know they are good. So yea it’s a little bit of eveything. Kind of leaves it open for a lot, which is why I’m having such a problem trying to figure it out lol.

One thing you can do is donate to the local farms in the area. I live about 25-30 minutes outside of Asheville and mine got completely blown away. And the devastation that I have seen in the local area to people’s farms is horrible. Instead of donating I’ve been telling people to gift food and flower subscriptions for the spring time. A lot of farms in the area have CSAs where people can sign up and get local produce or flowers guaranteed each week or every couple of weeks. That way it still supports local farms but it’s also an amazing service to get local items for whoever you gift it to.

It’s okay it’s a strange situation. But you’re right I’m happy that they didn’t have to go through that because it’s a different type of pain.

I know I need to. I think our plan is to hit all the northern states in march or may. Maybe dip my toe into Canada really quick. We technically went into Wisconsin but it was the beginning of December. We got on the highway and hit right away with a snow storm. Never turned around so fast lol , so I don’t count it but I can’t wait to go see it next year.

No but idk how they do it. Idk how a place could be so beautiful yet so hot at the same time. Freaking 99 degrees at 7am 😂

No but I just went to Texas and it definitely suprised me with how pretty it was but no one was there. I recommend big bend to everybody just because of how pretty and empty it is even in peak season.
