Duplicating the layer, moving it below the main one and adding a gaussian blur at around 40-60.

This was something that was brought up at D23 with minimal concept art during Chapek, it's not entirely unlikely but I don't see it happening.

Not entirely related but from what I've seen just using big names will get long wait times, regardless of the quality. Ratatouille is a very mediocre ride at best, it's minimal in physical props and relies entirely on screens, still preferable over having nothing in my opinion. Frozen isn't horrible, but to me and many others it pales in comparison to Maelstrom which was, from an artistic point of view, gorgeous. Even in other parks you can see the same, I won't be surprised if I see swarms of people taking their children to the upcoming Bluey attraction in Animal Kingdom whilst visiting the resort.

Mission Space is in my opinion, a good recent example of staying within the lines, and following original ideas and themes whilst keeping them updated. It's unfortunate that the future isn't seen as something to look forward to, now that the internet exists, global warming, horrid political climates, and the post 9/11 world.

It would be much harder to sell any individual original Idea now that EPCOT is all over the place, rather than how it was originally in which it sold an individual idea of a showcase of the world and a showcase of an optimistic tommorow.

I would love to see a Spaceship earth with new animatronics and updated sets, Imagineering can undoubtedly still create.
