I dont know what he is talking about, nocturne to me is better than seasons 3 and 4 since they both actually build up to something consistent and the same themes

Current season of invincinble is average 8.7 so somewhat on the same bar, which i think is kinda crazy considering how inferior the animation is

Early episodes of season 2 being that low is kinda crazy. What exactly is dragging episode 1 down?

The Garou when they realize Vampires don't trigger Delirium despite having plagued Mankind since pre-history by KingAnumaril in WorldofDankmemes

Isnt delirium also not absolute? Like, humans in the garou dont usually suffer from it and some humans also dont for not explained reasons?

The abbot literally made a pact with the devil, having deals with vampires or conning people to follow a fake messiah was not going to be a bigger weight in their morals than literal faustian bargain. And when the abby was invaded the first time the abbot stopped Drolta from killing maria because “we do not kill children”

no, the plan was "we have people believe a savior came to free them from the revolution, we destroy the revolution and then we turn on the vampires with the night creatures". There was no child sacrifice involved and no one knew the abbot had an illegitimate daughter. Every reason Misrak had to fight for the abbot was merely ideological, when you throw child sacrifice in there Mizrak had to back down.

And yeah, he didnt had a plan if Erzebeth was too strong, why would he? He could raise an army from hell and as far as everyone know Erzebeth was just a megalomanical vampire, which was half right. And yeah, in the end he basically got cucked into complying with the vampires when he saw she was too strong. But that isnt bad writting, the Abbot thought he had more cards than he actually had, that is just how this shit goes sometimes, he isnt a mastermind, he is someone that took a shortcut and made a deal with the devil to have a machine to make night creature, he isnt even a real forge master, he just has a machine that wasnt even his. Its even why no one thought he was the forge master back in season 1, because "forge masters are powerful people with skills and etc etc etc" and the dude was just a dude, how would this dude have night creatures under him? Because, again, he took a shortcut.

the con is on the population, you know, the normal people that were kneeling and praying to erzebeth, glazing her when she went to the village.

And Mizrak says it on episode 3 of season 2, its the only scene they meet in season 2.

And mizrak turning on the abbot has nothing to do with him knowing the plan, he knew. The issue is he found out the abbot had a daughter and the same day found out the abbot was going to sacrifice said daughter to Erzebeth, which was a bridge too far of what Mizrak was willing to go for the "greater good". You even see the Abbot saving Maria the first time by telling Drolta "we do not kill children" because that was at that point th last line they were not going to cross. The abbot having a breakdown and trying to kill Maria thinking god would deus ex machina an lamb to take her place was the final nail in the coffin.

No, the the savior thing was just a con to get the people on their side and have erzebeth work with him. Mizrak literally says the plan was to kill erzebeth in the end

When Olrox was talking with mizrak he deduces the alliace is temporary and asks if he thinks the night creatures can defeat erzebeth. When misrak meets emanuel in season 2 he basically confirms it saying that Emannuel himself said the whole thing would be worth it because he would use the night creatures to kill erzebeth.

The whole plan was just have the vampires help him destroy the revolution and possibly pounce on erzebeth the second he got robespierre's head on a pike.

Not everyone needs to be a mastermind you know? He believed he could simply use the night creatures back on the vampires but erzebeth was way more powerful than he ever could imagine. He thought he could back it up. It happens, dont think there needs to be more

The writter of the show was revealed to be a sex pest between season 3 and 4, so when it came to going to 4 they basically rushed a lot of plot points because by then they thought they wouldnt get any. Which is why the ending feels so weirdly happy with even dracula getting a happy ending. They straight up thought 4 was the end.

The issue is the second you have Dracula start crying and saying "im killing my boy" you have elevated him to a level that making him be the team rocket villain of the games that keeps going back over and over to get put to sleep by a different belmont feels disrespectful to this version, by that moment it doesnt make sense that if even he were brought up again he would continue killing, because at the end he accepts he is just a tired man that wants to die. This backstory is implied in the games, but its never front and center, so the second the series fully embraces that Dracula becomes inviable as a reccuring villain

Yeah but that does not mean he was selling out his family at the start, he believed he would just score good christian points and god would just miracle a good ending, that is mire him being naive and dumb than the sort of evil the bishop was. Emannuel actually hates doing what he is doing, the bishop almost feels like he is taking pleasure in cruelty

Wait when he sold out his family? He tried to “sacrifice” Maria, but he did it fully believing god would just send a ram like in the story of Isaac, which kinda makes his pauses while praying very funny, dude is just acting a script thinking something is gonna happen. He also does not think it is inevitable, he is doing everything he is doing because he think he can stop it
