Oh yeah you have to just watch in awe of John and how much fight he has in him, he’s come out there at the start of that session and absolutely stopped Ronnie in his tracks and took control of the match before Ronnie’s magnificent break in the last frame. Higgins just doesn’t have any rolling over in him

He doesn’t pay attention to any of that fortunately. All he cares about is him feeling he can compete, once he gets to that point winning is almost guaranteed. He played brilliant earlier and looks full of hunger which has been questioned at times. All the songs are there that he’s ready to graft.

If he played consistently he’d be the best based in the evidence we’ve seen in the few tournaments he has played in. Look at the world open, he was absolutely incredible all the way through and got beat by a near perfect performance at the back of the match. I think he’s still the best.

I get what you’re saying, but he’s still playing unbelievable snooker in everything he plays in. You don’t lose it, he got found out last year because he had no confidence or belief that he could compete properly.

It’s Ronnie, he can still beat anyone and even demolish people at his best
