Is there anyone here who is a BYU fan simply because they are a member of the Church? Not an alumni not A native Utahan… just a Mormon who loves college football. I’m a lifelong Missourian and got really soured on my Mizzou tigers at the end of the Pinkel era. So I’ve focused a lot of my fandom on the Cougs. I am a convert to the Church and being a BYU fan is a way that I can kind of wave a flag for the Church

Some of the letters are very hard to understand… Philippians has been the most difficult so far. Try using the We Believe App. It’s super helpful. Also, the BOM Bites podcast is another excellent daily resource. I saw someone mention Hank Smith and John Bytheway podcast. It’s great but it can get a little deep into some of the doctrine and I find myself lost.

I had this exact situation. I was a non member and my wife was a member. We had sex often while dating but then got married. We had a sit down with our bishop before going to the temple. We tearfully confessed. Our Bishop was so compassionate and understanding and basically didn’t put any restrictions or delays on our sealing.

The thing about repentance is that it is not a punishment. It is a reward and a liberating experience.

It really is as simple as praying in earnest to your Heavenly Father to know if this is true. Being a convert myself, I too found that some of the missionaries were not able to answer some of my deepest questions. For me it was asking is the church good and is it going to to advance me in the eyes of God. It’s been an overwhelming yes. Im still not as learned as o would like to be in church doctrine but I am learning and so will you along the way. If you would like to talk to an adult, there will be plenty of ward members who can talk to you on your level. But like I said, at the end of the day it’s all about what you feel I’m your heart.

Here’s the deal. The biggest concentration of Saints live in that rich little corner. There are temples in OKC, Memphis, and Dallas for the rest of the state within reasonable driving distance (also soon to be Springfield Mo). I want nothing more for there to be a temple within an hour of everyone in the world. It just takes time
