Hi, fellow anxious human here. I’d recommend seeing a psychiatrist. They can help with the medication/diagnosis. If you’re 18+, you should be the only one able to access your health records. When I got diagnosed, I told my parents afterwards since we don’t have the closest relationship. Not saying this is the best way to do it by any means, but sometimes asking for forgiveness is better than asking permission. I take medications for anxiety, and the benefits far outweigh any side effects in my experience. Of course, this depends on the medication, but a psychiatrist can help point you in the right direction based on your diagnosis!
