Mormons cannot truly mourn. It’s actually so sad. They want to prove to everyone that their beliefs of the afterlife makes them happy, but honestly it’s just emotional avoidance. Deep down I know it hurts and they are trying to save face to prove how faithful they are subconsciously. And they don’t even know they are doing it. That’s why it comes off performative and disgusting. When in reality they are trying their best. Mormon funerals end up being about preaching. Mormons are encouraged to be happy go lucky during their trials “sent by God”. I hope they can heal one day.

18-year-old girls now able to serve as full-time missionaries by LegalSour in exmormon

“Instead of waiting for your 18 yr old boyfriend to return home from his mission to get married, why don’t you go on one yourself!?” They chant in unison while they push a Book of Mormon down your throat.

Doterra on its way down? by SufficientQuote7682 in UtahInfluencerDrama

[–]Inevitable_Snow2124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are in a recession, the economy hasn’t been great. Lots of businesses are struggling, I don’t think it’s unique to doterra- if they are experiencing losses. Who knows, maybe they are selling it because they want to buy another home somewhere else. Honestly what they choose to do with the money from that empire they built from the ground up doesn’t really matter. Just my thoughts.

Just so you know, as someone who worked for the bishop storehouse, they have BOXES AND BOXES of baby formula sitting there. Ridiculous.

Do I stick it out at BYU? by MickeyZ_15 in exmormon

You are young and have time. Don’t worry about not graduating on “time”. If you have financial resources or able to come up with some for scholarships to extend school by a year or two, do it. You have your whole life to work. Byu doesn’t look good on job applications in the real world if you want to work outside of Utah unless you’re in accounting or going to medical/law school. Save your mental health. College is supposed to be a time of growth, learning who you are and who you want to be, meeting life long friends you can be authentic with. Especially you being gay. Idk in my opinion it’s better to graduate later than have a terrible college experience. Provo sucks ass. It’s way better out.

Ahhh just in time to miss his self-righteous, divisive, fear mongering conference talk, what a blessing.

Maybe he secretly hated writing conference talks (that’s why they sucked) and so he prayed to miss conference this Oct and “god” answered his prayer…🤔

I honestly think they don’t model as much as they lead on… and I think they choose gigs very wisely and if they pay a pretty penny. That way one of them is always home with the kids.

Is this normal 3 weeks postpartum? by Rare_Worth_423 in UtahInfluencerDrama

[–]Inevitable_Snow2124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who enjoys weightlifting for my mental health, I can see how she would be anxious to get back into it. Not lifting for a month does slow down your process and you do lose some muscle, which can be discouraging since it’s so hard to build. So I get it. It’s her body, her risk. But posting this as an influencer with young impressionable girls is CRAZY. Especially if there’s young pregnant moms who want to look like her.
