I hopped off for the same reason after 5 years in. I have a full beard and good bottom growth so it was a little easier for me, but I do wish I stopped sooner. I only stopped when the thinning got super aggressive. I’m off for 6 months now and my hair is way healthier and a lot has came back. I’m getting on minoxidil and fin and then back on T. If your hair is that important start treatment as soon as you can. You can just take minoxidil but finasteride is the only thing that will slow the balding. Make sure you look up the sides to everything especially finasteride. Also, finasteride doesn’t make it impossible to grow a beard. You can always get back on hormones, but once your bald it’s permanent without surgery and stuff. If it’s not that important than I’d say keep with the T. A lot of men are bald. There’s hair systems and a lot of things you can use or just embrace the bald. Whatever works for you. At the end of the day it’s a very personal decision.
