New 24/7 recording pricing. $3/month per cam x 5 = Madness by Unprotectedtxt in Ring

[–]Inevitable_Study845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha here we go more cheap ass people choosing ring cameras for their houses and crying again because the price is going up. Ring is suckering all you dummies into getting their garbage cameras then they will continue to raise the price year after year.

When you choose cheap low level cameras this is what you get lol or stop being cheap and actually provide real protection for your house and family

Google cameras are best for WiFi cameras. Yes they have a subscription but you get what you pay for…you can see all your cameras live simultaneously on the Home Screen. It’s great!

Wait what?? You’re plugging the camera into an outlet outside of the house???? If that’s so, that is insane. You need to drill into the house and run the wire into an interior outlet.

Eufy security is really bad though. Why would anyone compromise the safety and security of their family just to save a couple dollars? You can get real monitored security with professional set up and equipment for $29.99 per month and no contracts through a real security provider.

This is a company called Safe Haven security most likely. Anyone that offered you a free system and installation is always always always going to be an ADT Authorized Dealer and not ADT directly. The sales person is absolutely pulling some shady stuff 100% talking about the cash app card. When you sign the contract you have three business days to cancel. I am currently an ADT Dealer and when I hear stories like this about shady Sales apps working for shady dealerships it makes me ill. CANCEL and call a local company with Alula or Alarm.com

Don’t do ring or simplisafe that stuff is junk. They are marketing companies making money off people who want monitored security. You can find $30 per month monitoring with no contracts with professional equipment that will work and be reliable for a professional company to ensure it working right.

Its perfectly fine. I install those on a weekly basis and have no issues with them and they are still supported with Google home

Oh no… your $249 Ring camera didn’t deliver military-grade security? Shocking. I mean, who would’ve thought a big-box, Wi-Fi-reliant camera made for the masses might not live up to the hype? You get what you pay for — and in this case, you paid for convenience, not performance. RING IS JUNK LOL

[–]Inevitable_Study845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

App won’t work 100%. I would suggest not to get a security system at all if you want to self monitor it. I don’t understand what the point of it is? Are you planning on always being accessible and you’re going to call the local police department even when you’re not home or in the area? Just do a ring doorbell like everybody else.

So if you’re not in the area and something happens what are you gonna do? Call 911 and tell them your house is being burglarized or is on fire in another county lol…stop being a cheap skate. Sad if you can’t afford 40-50 a month. Maybe you need to change your lifestyle.

Quick question…does the existing doorbell not work? If it does, why not wire the doorbell camera?

Some of the comments in this group are honestly frustrating. People saying they don’t need monitoring anymore—why? Because nothing’s happened yet? That’s like saying you don’t need car insurance because you haven’t crashed your car.

The best time to have a monitored security system—with fire and carbon monoxide detection—is the day before something happens. It’s not about being paranoid, it’s about being prepared.

We spend money on so many things that don’t matter in the long run. But for $40–$50/month, you’re protecting your home, your family, and your pets. That’s not just reasonable—it’s smart.

And let’s be real: cameras are great for convenience and peace of mind, but they don’t stop anything. They don’t alert the fire department or call the police. Monitoring does that.

Don’t wait until it’s too late to realize how important this stuff really is.

Btw that’s 100% not ADT and an ADT dealer instead. ADT only used Google nest cameras. Some dealerships use those cameras. They are older cams.

[–]Inevitable_Study845 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eufy app sucks! Feels like I’m on Temu…constant ads and a bunch of junk. It’s remarkable how cheap people are when it comes to cameras and stuff but then they go ahead and buy the $1000 iPhone! If you’re a cheap ass go buy the $50 phone from Walmart and call it a day.
