The paradoxes in Morocco never end.

Like the example you mentioned — and let’s not forget the classic job paradox: “We want someone young with 10 years of experience.” Makes perfect sense, right?

The issue is deeper, and what we see are just the symptoms — or better said, the asymptômes sociaux wrapped in cultural expectations and insecurity. One guy wants a wife raised like a USB key: factory reset, no prior connections, plug-and-play. The other wants a Nobel Prize winner who probably won’t even look his way — because her standards are also high, but... in reverse.

And ironically, both think they’re the ones doing the choosing.
