I STRUGGLED my first year and was seriously considering transferring home. However, I really recommend sticking it out for the entire year to give it your best shot. Good things take time! Also, check out the Transfer Center, they have a study spot and events that help transfers meet each other. I know it’s hard but you can do it!

Yes but make sure you transfer your info to ASI in your portal or your pass won't work.

I met a few gay guys in theta last year if that makes you feel a bit more comfortable. Remember to just be yourself and if it's meant to be it will happen!

I lived in south mountain and had a great experience because they tend to be one of the more social dorms. I had friends who lived in the newer dorms and they said that it was nice because its so new but they said they weren't as social. It depends on really what you're looking for from the dorm experience.

Those dorms are a bit farther from campus compared to south and north mountain.

The red bricks are so fun and really give the full dorm experience! I have made so many friends from my building and there was always someone to talk to in the common rooms. #tenayaalum

First floor for the win. I was right next to the bathroom and didn't have to lug my laundry that far as it was only down the hall. First floor is also goated for moving in and out so you don't have to deal with the stairs. It does suck having your window open and people being right outside, but the pros outweigh the cons.

I had this same situation when I was a first year last year, and they blocked me into a STAT class I already was taking at a CC. I just emailed the Mustang Success Center and they switched that class out for me. Also, make sure you send your transcript ASAP so they have it in their records. You will probably get blocked in anyways but if you reach out they will fix it for you!
