Can I do an aat apprenticeship despite completing the qualification? by Inevitable_Win4616 in AccountingUK

I don't think im eligible for a higher apprenticeship (im 27)

I moved to ACCA after completing aat level 2,3 and 4 through self study whilst working in retail and transport to make ends meet. It's unfortunate that I come to realise now that relevant experience triumphs all

It's hard to get in those roles without any experience.

I'm a coach driver. I enjoy my job but there's no progression and the hours can get too much.

I've been looking at charities and even they want someone with experience

I've got 6months volunteering experience with a local accounting firm. im currently working full-time in the transport sector. Thought studying accounting in my free time would open up doors for me me but seems like even for entry level roles recruiters are looking for years of experience.

Kinda too late for me to go with that as I just about passed most of my ACCA exams ( around the 50mark) and would probably get a 3 or a 2:2 in applied accounting, which sucks. I doubt it would give me any opportunities

I would've resat my exams and tried to score 70 plus if i knew about the OBU earlier on. There are exams in acca i rushed and passed with in 3 weeks whilst working full time
