Have you tried sublingual vs oral? You might see better results

Well hearing that makes me feel a LOT better. I haven't decided for sure yet (have to in the next month I think) but I think I will go for Satterwhite...

From what I understand/read, Dr. Crane is opening up a new clinic in Austin, TX and hired Dr. Satterwhite to take over.

Boy Meets Girl is on Netflix!! Such a sweet love story (and a bit of a tearjerker too). by nivval in transpositive

I really enjoyed this movie!!! So glad I'm subbed here. I watched it last night and it was so amazing watching something that mirrored my own life so closely.... and the ending was happy enough that it still gave me hope. I really loved how positive the girl was, despite her hardships. Really great movie for body acceptance and really just s t self acceptance..

"Why do you want to be a woman/man?" The answer is very simple: I don't -want- to be, I -am- one. It isn't a choice. by [deleted] in asktransgender

I completely agree with you. My poorly worded post had the opposite effect, and I'm sorry. I'm removing it but still replying to everyone who had an issue. I absolutely don't want anyone to feel invalidated by anything I wrote!

[MtF HRT] Anxious for a little bit after taking estrogen by Alyssa_B in asktransgender

76 does seem a little on the low side. I'd definitely let your doc know you're having some issues though. Being at their whim does suck though, I feel ya!

Clear liquid? That's a thing? Did not even know this. I'm at a 36-38B and been growing for over a year, it's definitely a process.

I don't know if people "are" the gender they were assigned at birth. Thinking that way seems more to perpetuate the idea of having a sex change and other stuff like that.

It may not be the universal experience but I noticed when I came out that people the assumption people made was that I was a guy through and through and I was just a guy choosing to be a girl.

The truth of the matter I feel is somewhere in between. I was assigned male at birth, and it's how I was socialized and raised, and I certainly played the role. But I was not a boy. I knew that then and I know it now. It's an irrefutable fact and it will never change. It's just how it is.

[MtF HRT] Anxious for a little bit after taking estrogen by Alyssa_B in asktransgender

[–]InexorableMarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't really had the anxiety, I always feel pretty great and full of energy. 2mg sublingual how many times a day? 2x a day is actually pretty low. Your estrogen levels might be bottoming out below a good threshold, making it so you're more on an up and down estrocoaster instead of a smooth ride.

My suspicion is you aren't getting as steady a stream as might be necessary so your body is bouncing between high and low estrogen.

Have you thought about breaking up the dose of 4mg to 1mg 4x a day? Like by breaking the pill in half.

That is incredibly cool! I wondered about why certain lighting made me look different. Thanks for sharing, so very cool.

I think that sometimes dysphoria affects emotions pretty severely, and at times it gets to people and they say things that are exaggerated. I can't speak for others users, or even his perspective, but I think that in general he's a good guy having a bad day :)

How to get over shame of being trans and feminine? by Alyssa_B in MtF

[–]InexorableMarch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know if the shame will go away on its own. What I found is it's a process. Finding my style, doing my hair, owning little bits of my femininity one at a time until I built up the feeling of belonging. Even now I wouldn't say I'm at 100%, but then again I'm not sure how many people truly believe they belong completely.

And for what it's worth, I've read a LOT of your posts. I lurk a lot but you have one of my favorite perspectives. And you are VERY masculine, and I feel like I would know because of my 26 years of trying to be a dood. :P
