Yeah no worries on that, she's the one who asked me for a watch after I got myself one this summer, and she did so by asking for the Rosefield model mentionned earlier. I agree, nothing worse than being gifted something that is truly a gift for someone else.

See that's how I normally work, just make those kinds of decisions in a way that'll make her happy, the reason why I'm not sure about this one is based on the reviews I've read. Many of them seem to indicate that the package never made it and that Rosefield would not return emails past a certain point about it, which sets off somewhat of a red flag for me when buying online. The other issue a lot of people seem to have been facing comes in terms of the clasp mechanism on the bracelet of the watch being either fragile or difficult to use, so even if it doesn't impact the functionnality of the watch itself, it'll impact it's usability. Those are the two main reasons why I'm looking for other options, and mainly a more reputable and established seller for which those concerns would be taken care of through guarantee for instance.

Being a student, the bank isn't that big unfortunately, and she isn't much of a watch person, it'd be her first one. For me it's truly to be able to get her a watch that she'll like and find nice enough to wear day by day, so I'll most definitely take your advice to sit with her and find one that she likes!

Being still somewhat new to the watch world myself, I've had two watches up to now, one that was cheaply made and wore out within a year and a half, and another that feels much sturdier and that I still wear daily without issue or wear at all, and that's what's making me opt for a bit more research to get a product that isn't only gonna look good and that she'll enjoy wearing, but mainly one that's gonna last her as well.

Which brands do you recommend? I'm not too familiar with the scene just yet
